Currently on the ladder he's just using a barcode if that's what you're asking (at least in games vs flash earlier today).

320 sponsored matches in a one-month period?!

He's played more ZvT (167 matches) than the ASL 8 Ro8 competitors have played sponmatches in total save Action and Light. That's a lot of ZvT.

Maybe Calm also uses a barcode? That's the point of using a barcode though right? haha

These boX matches being played today on the streams, just now Best vs Rush (?) epic carrier game finished a min ago, obsed and commentated (agitatedly) by Flash, Larva, etc. Definitelly worth the re-watch. So much passion, so much energy, so much fun. Good times for BW.

edit: Well, reading the post below, just shows how close joy and sadness are together in everything humans do...

I'm asking him to translate the articles. But this is super sad and shocking. Especially in light of recent news in the community. Can someone in our community translate if they're not on it already?

with the kind of short ASL bo5
that it doesn't make sense we have the same number of games for ZvZs as for TvTs and other matchups. TvT's can be exhausting for viewers and hard on players even at bo5. A bo5 ZvZ is still quite short and swingy. I think in my ideal setup as a viewer, I would want bo5 TvT for a finals, bo9 ZvZ, bo7 maybe for other matchups... And for earlier rounds, bo3 TvT for a bo5 ZvZ. Something like that. That would help more consistent Zergs and Protoss who get knocked out too early from their volatile mirrors, while saving the hands of TvT players a bit from their hour long tough but fair matches.

Just a weird thought on something related to the meta-balance of StarCraft. Everyone knows a ZvZ finals is typically very bad, because it can be over in 20 minutes if it's a 3-0. I think more ZvZs would be more chances for at least one of them to go into something not pure muta ling, or at least have a chance at deciding games where players rolled equal builds.

How the hell Light is on 3rd place when his TvT and TvP are garbage? Did he play vs. Z only? Record shows opposite, maybe he's offline choker? Also interesting to see Rain so down. I'm really looking forward for terran destroyer SoMa to deliver next ASL by going deep.

It would probably make it easier to schedule tournaments for sure.

Seeing how he has the best stat out of anyone in tvp over a 60 game sample size it seems unfair to consider his tvp garbage..

So if we end up with a ZvZ final... you want more of it?

59% in TvT and 75% in TvP according to that chart. I've seen his TvP recently in starleague and his timings are incredibly sharp; he's good.

Light is indeed an offline choker and he typically doesn't play top end oppos in spon matches. For example, this month the highest ranked T he played is Sharp, highest rank P is BeSt (went 0-3 vs him, after that it's Stork and Horang2.. so no games vs SnOw/Rain/Mini) and the highest Z is SoMa.

His spon winrate is typically inflated.

rofl, patch can be good, patch can be bad, patching to make the game better and fix broken matchups is the worst solution possible to the problem of bad matchups xD well it won't happen there's nobody at blizzard who is willing and skilled to do that
