What is the difference in mining between left and right spawning positions in zvz? More than fifty minerals in a minute?

I would say if you get 50 minerals over 10 minutes that may still be stretched. Also it's so difficult to compare, people send drones to different minerals, some of the optimize, some of them now trick to put in the right angle so the drone "bounces back" upon returning etc.. all of that matters. I guess what you refer is the larva trick to go to the left? I would say that have a minimal impact.

So this is just a random thought and maybe just my old STX fanboyism coming around but I'm starting to think that the coaching staff/culture of STX during the kespa days was definitely not good. Post-KESPA lots of STX players went on to have huge success: Innovation and Dear did very well in SC2 and then Shuttle, Hero, Modesty, mini, and Last all did / are doing quite well in the post-kespa BW scene.

But during the KESPA days STX was always a team with great players who mostly choked when it counted, with Calm being the only one to ever win a tournament (unless you count July but he only transferred to STX for a short time before he won that OSL).

Players like bogus/dear/mini were still quite young rookies when kespa ended though so maybe you could argue that they were bound for great things in kespa BW had the league continued though.

I dunno maybe I'm just grasping at straws here, but as an old STX fan it's cool to see so many former players doing well in the new era, I always knew they were full of potential.

Is there any easy way to share replays on this site? Was thinking of starting a thread regarding certain kind of replays.

I have pondered this too. In case of Last and Hero, they both seem to have gone so far Post-Kespa in their weakest matchups (tvz and zvt IMO in Kespa-era) Letmelose mentioned, that Last and Bogus didn't help each other during 2011 season... Then again, Last and Hero have grinded insane ammounts of practice-games and Sponmatches in 2014-2016 so that contributes too.

Just watch (Z)ZerO pulling the trick of turning a lone hydra into a lurker egg to tank a mine with less damage against (T)Flash... Is this worth it ?

If so, why don't we see it more often?

You would think the 20k viewers on Flash's stream are there to see him and the other two gosus having a social eating, but it's probably mostly Britney they're there for, lol.

EffOrt has done it in official matches, been doing it for years. It's worth it because you don't lose any money from cancelling Lurker aspect and you save a Hydralisk (or more).

I do this sometimes (attempt to do this I should say lol) when I see the opportunity. It is really more of a flashy micro-trick than any kind of reliable tactic. Is it worth it? I don't know. How important is that hydra? haha

It is similar to dropping a Reaver out of a Shuttle to set off a mine, then loading it back into the Shuttle to dodge the mine explosion. I mean, yeah it is cool and can clear a mine but... the micro is really intense, so it is less practical in a 'normal' game.

Everyone tends to gravitate towards laziness when they’re playing; doing the most with least. You tend to do minor tricks when you feel like you have excess time and energy to do stuff like that.

Or if you think it’s game-critical.

Any 'official' announcement of Effort going to the military? YT video/Afreeca post etc?
Or did he say it in a pre-game/post-game interview and I just missed it lol

On a random note, does anyone else find ZvT has become pretty stale lately? All the games feel very similar: either Terran kills Zerg before the third is up and running, or Zerg gets defilers and eventually ultras and the game is basically decided. I remember during Kespa days you would have long back and forth macro games in ZvT, with tons of ultras versus mass tank. Now it just feels so binary. Is it because mass siege tank just isn't that good anymore, so there's no real answer to ultras unless Terran is already far ahead? (And hence the non-stop aggression from Terran.)
