Before you say use the search function just know that I have. None of the other topics help me.
I know HOW to get Korean to show up, but the only problem is when I go to install the files for East Asian languages, it says to insert "Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2."
I do not have the CD it is asking for, so my question is this: Is there anyway to install the files without the CD?

Control Panel > Regional Settings and Languages> Advanced> Korean
ull be able to see it and type it... it wont fuck up anything else too.
gotta reboot for it to work tho after.
*right alt+ shift* enables/disables korean typing

Click scroll down and read the replies aswell, will help you.

Uh... that doesn't tell me how to get it to work without the CD. I cannot install the files without the CD. Anyone have a link to where I can get the files?
i went and d/led it from the microsoft website. search korean IME on the website.
I d/led those to, but I still can't get it to allow me to see and type Korean.
do you have the toolbar loaded?
Yes. I have the toolbar loaded.
just mess around with the toolbar....there are options to change into korean mode and back to english mode and there are keyboard macros you can set to alternate between the two.
Here is my problem:
When I press Left Alt+shift to switch to Korean, it switches but it still makes me type in english unless I press this thing on the Language Bar to switch to Korean letters. And when I am in BW I cannot see Korean letters either.
EDIT
안녕하세요 Well, I can type and see Korean when I am not playing BW. But I still can't see Korean in BW.
after you press left alt + shift, you need to press right alt to altnernate between english and korean.
and you can't see hangul in BW games. you need to change your date/time/regional settings to korean to do that. you can, however, see hangul in the bnet interface.
I cannot see Korean in the bnet interface either.
i dont know whats up with that then. but does pressing right alt work for you?
can you see hangul anywhere else? like microsoft word or something
I can see hangul in everything except bnet and BW games. What settings did you use for it to work for you?
I think it is because I can't do the Control Panel > Regional Settings and Languages> Advanced> Korean thing. Korean isn't on the list. How do I get it on the list?
i did what that guide that someone posted says. if that doesn't help then i dont know what else to tell you X_X.
try changing your date/time/regional settings and see if it works in bnet.
Korean doesn't show up on the Date/Time/Regional settings >_<
Hmm... this is weird. Did I perhaps install the Korean language files wrong?
Is there a way to make korean letters show (without having to be able to type them) but not really changing anything major? Like Date/Time/Regional settings sounds like a big change that could affect others things which I really don't want. Maybe some program that will change all thsoe annoying ?????? into actual korean letters?

the same sort of thing that everyone has been discussing, will enable korean letters to show up. Just dont enable to keyboard switching.
I can't get the option to set the Control Panel > Regional Settings and Languages> Advanced thing to Korean.
Bleh, I need to just see if any of my friends have the Servive Pack CD thing I need. Unless someone knows what is causing me to not be able to see Korean letters in BW.
EDIT
Thank you for the help everyon, but it is still not working. I will just see if any of my friends have the CD I need to install Korean language files. Sorry to have wasted your time.
