Does anyone know if there is an english translation for this or even an ebook korean version of this? I found a russian translation of it but I am not sure if that is actually the translation of the same book, and if it is so, why would there be a russian translation but no english?

If anyone could give me some information it would be most appreciated

Russia has quite a large Korean minority, so that's probably why there's a translation in Russian

There is no english translation of it

One of our resident Koreans - I believe it was Bard? - started translating this book into English. I think he only got through the first chapter, though, and later scrapped the project. Still, great stuff =]

EDIT: No wait it was BinaryStar!

The book BinaryStar was translating is not the book the OP is talking about

BinaryStar translated Boxer's autobiography (called Crazy Like Me) Long before this, atleast 5 years ago, Boxer wrote a book on strategies that he uses in his games called Lim Yo Hwan's Dropship (the same name as his fanclub and PC room)

There IS a Russian translation of it, but I can't remember the website address at the moment

isn't it Lim Yo Hwan??
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

I personally spell it the way I think it should be spelled. By way of pronunciation. My last name is Pak but I would rather spell it Bak. Definitely not Park.

Lim and Lee are pronounced Eem and Ee. Not Leem and Lee.

But yes, in English, Korean people have spelled it Lim, Lee, Park.

My korean vowel spelling goes:
ㅏ - a
ㅑ - ya
ㅓ - eo
ㅕ - yeo
ㅗ - o
ㅛ - yo
ㅜ - oo
ㅠ - yoo
ㅡ - eu
ㅣ - ee
ㅐ - ae
ㅒ - yae
ㅔ - ei
ㅖ -yei

Why do you think you're some kind of authority on how to spell their names? If they're going to write their names in English, then they're going to use a spelling that sounds less awkward in English

This is like some guy named Michael going to Japan and making everyone call him "Michael" instead of "Maikeruu" or whatever sounds less awkward in Japanese

I asked a real Korean about "Lim Yo-Hwan" and get a response, I think that means I got it at least sorta right.

if you can find an e-book in korean.. i *might* be interested in providing you guys with a translation.. I just started working so I won't have much time, but I did a bit of translating as a part time job so it won't be completely new to me. If anybody has an idea of how long it is.. I might be tempted..

It's not "asians," it's Japanese who pronounce L's as R's often because their is no L sound in Japanese, and Chinese often who pronounce R's often as L's depending on the dialetct (mandarins vs cantonese etc). I know 15 people will comment about how all asians are the same now.

I'm still confused cauz koreans often says in romanization : An Nyung but in korean isn't it 안녕 aka An Nyeong ? :x
Even if it's basically the same it really bugs me because i'm also confusing these ones with ㅛ and so on...
노스댈쟈 aka No seu tael gia and so on T_T

Yes Binary Star was translating, and then started to get donations for continuing his work. After the money came he stopped, and never posted here again.

In English, it would be:

Lim, Yo Hwan

Lim is his last name. And yes, it is pronounced:

"eem yoh hwahn"

But then again, if you watched any Korean VOD with Boxer, you would probably know that. ^^;;

I'm pretty sure Ra is supposed to be Ra like the Egyptian god and the clan leader didn't mean to make the name mean ' fly '
