I would be if the new replacement wasn't trash compared to the original. In my opinion, of course. As for building on its legacy, if it took what Brood War had and added to it, expanding it and making it better, that would be building on its legacy. I have to admit that despite how much I love Brood War, it would be possible to make an even better game by using what we learned from Brood War and adding new things. But Blizzard don't know how to make a good game. They don't even understand what makes Brood War good. What StarCraft 2 did was use the name value of StarCraft to sell us an inferior game that has LESS than Brood War. That is using the legacy, not building on it. If StarCraft 2 wasn't made by Blizzard and didn't have the name StarCraft, no one would give a fuck about it. It's just not a good enough game on its own to reach the popularity that it has.

Fixed it for you. ^This seams to be the sentiment of a lot of the communty that makes a living off of Sc2. I REALLY don't like it. All it has done is turned everyone into Sc2 salesman. Day9? Salesman. Tastosis? Salesman. The list goes on and on. Even this very website has to sell Sc2 to the community. We all have financial problems but don't lie to me and try to sell me on an inferior product because you put all your eggs in one basket. I suddenly see thing a little clearer now, thanks Moletrap and sorry for using you as an example. Because you've done for BW soo much. Very nice video op. I like these touchy videos of players reactions as much as highlights, gj.

I know Broodwar isn't ending and I'm happy about that, but I don't think it's wrong to be sad that we don't have the same faces to cheer for anymore.

Also you'd have to ignore what's going on in China BW scene and the foreign BW scene (believe they're having a decent sized lan in Europe) to think it's completely dead and gone. So, while I share your pain in that BW is a great game that isn't quite as relevant as it should be because of money issues.... get over it man. Jesus @*!#ing Christ.
