I think it was very respectful and tasteful to him, his fans, and his faith. I understand what you're saying, but I can't agree with it. They're breaking the news of his passing, but if it wasn't for the actual words that confirm that the world lost a beautiful young life, it would be as if he was going on a holiday to Hawaii for a week and they were saying have fun there and thanks for those who donated to the trip... You say, "presumably", they were asking for prayers for his family, but in actual fact, his family was never mentioned in the post either, and no acknowledgement was given to the future of the man they'll never see grow older.

![]() Then my wife saw his death being broadcasted on Korean news so that's when I knew for 100% that he's really gone. RIP Violet... My favorite KT protoss... I didn't know him personally, but it's still tragic that such a great guy dies at such a young age. >,<

You have to understand that this is a translated statement, sometimes the words to get mixed up in translation, as well as certain emotions being displayed differently. That and also each culture has different ways of talking about death, take that into consideration before judging their annoucment. Also take into consideration that in all likelyhood, it was a PR guy who did this, not a coach or player, just someone hired to do PR. So sometimes in situations like this, a statement is rushed, and not very long. If you look at other statments KT posted yesterday, you'll se much longer and more elobrate statements.
