Is it really worth it ? You need a Chinese ID card number to register to VS. I know you can always borrow one, but if you can borrow one, then you are very likely to have a Chinese friend that can register an account for you and tell you how to get on the VS server.

By the way, quick question about sina. Is there any way to get to like...an overview page where all the live streams are listed, from(viewers) highest to lowest? Since I don't understand the names, the A-Z thing doesn't help and I personally don't care about the "hot games".

Glad that restreaming is permitted

Here is my thought about 'our future'.
We need to get started on ISL4 soon. Advertise it to China. Then use those viewership numbers to attract sponsors and at the same time get money from Twitch's Ads. Also inviting some of the Chinese players is also vital for the growth of relationship. Since C-OSL is considered as a continuous event, we might even see foreigners like Sziky taking the champion's throne and further explodes the competitive field.
In the future, we are potentially looking toward 2 Huge tournaments event (the C-OSL, ISLs) and perhaps some S.Korean amateur leagues going on. Saturated these events, and then definitely the level of play can climb back again closer to the past OSL/MSL's standard.
Not to mention, we can truly organize some sort of Clan Wars going on. S.Korea have 32 Clans Active last I've seen from http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=292211 (Super Clan League)
Foreigners have a few laying around
China have 30 Teams.
Say that we'll have 70 teams in total for Brood War. The teams do not have to play in the same server. We can have threads in all parties' perspective forum boards and upload replays. Chinese are seen to be able to play on Fish and ICCup. Koreans can play on VS Server. Rest of the world can play on Fish and ICCup (VS Server's Instruction will be translated). With 70 teams in mind, that's almost non stop BW action. We can have regular seasons going on for hours! High possibility of getting that 24/7 Brood War materials going on purposed by Eywa. Then people like Sayle, Elegant, TheShimmy Hacklebeast will be very busy as their viewership skyrockets.
In the end, I'm personally hoping that we (the global scene) will reach to a point where there will be a yearly Brood War ProLeague format with all those teams participating as one. I am going to say, although I'm really shooting dart into the shadow, that MAYBE just MAYBE we can prove to OGN that they made the biggest mistakes ever.
Just when we thought to be extincted, the community fires that nuke straight in the face of the forecasted asteroid..

Someone need to cut the beef between scan and foreigners atm since he can bring 1500+Viewers on ladder games alone (during early week days)

This is getting me so pumped. BW forever. I'll never have to cast SC2 this way
