any chance of seing FAT playing in a chinese team?
The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

The Chinese "teams" right now are just clans with out financial sponsorship other than donations and from the players' own pockets, so other than the latency and time there isn't any reason not to play in the Chinese tournaments for some money.

Is there any way of finding the schedule for chinese streams? Anything like a TL calendar or similar? Or anyone who would take the few minutes to share the links and times? I'd be happy to restream every now and then as before, but my chinese skills are non-existent.

Chinese events are horribly organized, mostly due to the various leagues, and the lack of a website (like TL) that organizes this info.

Most of the info is just scattered in the forums (read the OP), and COSL gets delayed pretty often for various reasons. SCNTV is by far the most professional group (http://scntv.com there's a little calendar thing on the right side), and I think it's probably where the future of Chinese BW lies.

scntv is made by veteran caster / community leaders, they are trying to bridge the community separation by just ignoring it all together (instead of trying to get people to cooperate between the websites)

I think that simply adding events to the calendar and giving a stream link, would be sufficent

someone else gonna do all the LR work eventually ! its TL after all ! :D

one thing china is lacking is a good server like fish, i have talked to some chinese guys and the only way for chinese people to make games is basically using some client like the super super old school gamespy client where you meet people online and then host a game through some hamachi type client.

Latency is the biggest problem, not sure how they would sort that out.

Connectivity between China and Korea is actually really quite good, worse with N.A., S.A. and Europe are quite bad.

Latency is pretty low if you play at night or in the morning which should be perfect is events are held at Euro time. Problem is that most Chinese gosus are 27+ years old with a job and sometimes kids so they may not want to play at night :/

So there has been this sponsor in China who's been dumping tens of thousands of US dollars into the BW scene, and he recently posted that he will host an offline tournament in Shanghai, and he plans to contribute over 1 MILLION RMB, which is something like US$150,000...

There is a possibility that Korean players will be invited to participate.

Go CHINA!

Why the first thing I'm thinking = betting, and the second one = match fixing But if it's true it could still generate a lot of awesome level BW so yay?!
