Kim Chul Min, who left the e-Sports scene due to MBCGame's closure, is joining OnGameNet casting crew for the upcoming Proleague.
OnGameNet revealed on the 15th that "Kim Chul Min caster will cast one match every week from both SK Planet StarCraft2: Wings of Liberty Proleague (T/N: that is the official name now, they decided to pick this.) and Special Force 2 Proleague'. He is going to be introduced on the 20th, the first day of Proleague season 2.
Kim Chul Min, who's been the head caster of MBCGame, was responsible for and casted many mainstream e-Sports matches. Though he did take a break from the e-Sports scene before due to his health conditions (stomach cancer), he overcame the cancer and received many cheers from fans when he returned.
OnGameNet commented "In order to provide colorful, yet different casting experience for the fans, we decided to bring in Kim Chul Min. This season, fans will be greeted by many different voices and different style of casting."
Kim Chul Min, who is now part of OnGameNet, said "I've never stopped thinking about e-Sports, even when I left the whole scene. I'll thank my fans with the best commentary/casting that I can provide at OnGameNet."
Meanwhile, all OnGameNet casters (T/N: Center caster, side casters are "Commentators") are going to cast the opening matches for the upcoming Proleague Season 2 opening day.
I didn't post the list of the commentators for the first day, but if you want me to, I can
Also, this is old news, but did you guys happen to know that Im Sung Choon from MBCGame has been a regular in I'm Carry (co-host)?
whose place will he be taking in the regular PL lineup then? or are they expanding the team?
They're expanding the team to 4 casters. Number of commentators are the same atm.
that seems like overkill....4 commentators sitting on the desk talking and making awesome moments.
No, as in 4 center casters instead of 3 center casters. It used to be only Jun Young Joon, Sung Seung Hun, and Jung So Rim for the center caster. Now we have additional center caster, Kim Chul Min.

Was it the guy with the glasses?? he had some of the best insights into bw strategies as a caster during his time at MBC
The guy with glasses is Seung Won IIRC, and he already is on OGN, but this is the guy with the greatest enthusiasm!~ Finally! Edit: Just realized they both have glasses, but the guy you are describing is Lee Seung Won (I think..)

...no.. and hes already on ogn lol
unfortunately, i dont see my final intrepid caster hyung coming to ogn.. he's extremely multitalented and does a lot of other shows on mbc hes paid a hefty sum and very popular on his shows. hes also slowly going into variety outside of his exclusivity contract
I never really payed attention to the Korean casters as I don't understand them. However, I'm glad that this makes people happy when the recent events of BW are looking to grim

Yep... thats the one. That guy described starcraft actions like he was commentating a UFC fight (a la joe rogan hehe)
Awesome. He was one of the people that got me so excited about pro BW when I started watching. It's amazing how infectious his enthusiasm is and how much I get out of what he's saying even though I don't know any Korean.
I like this guy haha. He doesnt have the most in depth analysis and knowledge of the game, but I dont think thats his role in the trio. He sets the mood. He gets people excited. Then you have people like that small dude in glasses (one of the best analysts imo) for in depth description of whats going on.
