Especially when the only difference in some of the maps is the presence of a neutral supply depot... there is literally no reason whatsoever to use the ladder version. You forgo balance and legitimacy in favor of using maps that are "more familiar to players?" What a ridiculously absurd justification for a hugely detrimental decision. | ||

That's just great. Now I get to watch Brood War with half the the practice time invested in it, and StarCraft II that will make small foreigner tournaments look high level by comparison. Fantastic. EDIT: The best I can hope for is that at least the Brood War players may be tempted to enter GSL, what with MSL no longer existed. Hopefully some cream will rise. | ||

They changed the name so that Blizz would start using their maps and doing various other things for them. | ||

They got rid of the "same day" (같은날) from Players who competed in Starcraft 1 will play Starcraft 2 in the next game on the same day (???), and players who competed in Starcraft 2 will play Starcraft 1 in the next game on the same day (???). So basically, if a player plays BW in his match, the next time he appears must be in an SC2 match and vice-versa. Still unsure if players are allowed to play twice in one day though but I doubt it because they have a minimum of 6 players in the line up. | ||
