Preface: I decided to stop being lazy and start translating again. This means that I will have mistakes/bad translations in the article. If anyone notices them, please fix it by either posting here or PM me right away (PM will get hold of my attention faster).
Also, from what I've seen on dailyesports, they usually interview the final winner only. This is because new Proleague format brought on-the-spot interviews from all winners except the last one.
Samsung Khan TurN: When I was manner pyloned, I got angry.
TurN doesn’t have a consistent playing style. Usually players find their right play style while preparing for a match; however in TurN’s case, his impromptu/on-the-go strategy that fit to the situation worked well in his match against Stats today. TurN, who started losing more towards last season due to his single, consistent attack pattern, stated “I gained a lot of experience through losing, and I think I’ve become experienced to a point where I can find which strategy fits well during the game itself.” As a result, TurN has a perfect record of 5-0 this season and is walking down the road of ‘Perfect Terran Record’ along with Flash
Q With your win, Khan is now in 1st place A I’m happy that I helped the team reach the 1st place. Since we became 1st place at the beginning of the 3rd round, I think our team can place 1st in the season if we play consistently well.
Q Did you pick Bio-mech against Stats because you were mad? A I was in a bad situation, and it got worse as time went by. I scouted late, and I was flustered when I got manner-pyloned twice. After thinking about the situation, I thought that I only had one attack timing. So right on the spot, I changed to Bio-Mech strategy.
Q Did you think Bio-Mech was going to work? A I had a good feeling
Q What did your coach say after you walked down from the stage? A She didn’t talk; she just smiled.
Q Was this a prepared strategy? A When you play a televised match, you never know what’s going to happen. If my opponent plays outside the boundaries of my practice, or does not play to my will, I can’t carry out my prepared strategy. Today was that day. I didn’t practice nor prepare Bio-Mech at all while practicing today’s match on this map (T/N Sniper Ridge). I remember using this strategy few times when I just became a progamer. Thinking about those days when I was a rookie, I carried out the Bio-Mech strategy.
Q You were pylon rushed twice. A Today, Protoss players do not manner pylon. I was never manner pyloned recently. I remember that Protoss players manner pyloned Terran in the old days. Since I did not expect such play at all, the match didn’t go as planned. I was even mad. Thus I wanted to win the match in that situation, even if it meant improvising a new strategy.
Q You’re 5-0. A I went 7 game winning streak last season. I was on the rise, but I fell quickly after losing once. I am always confident, but I never expected to have a good pace like the one that I’m having right now.
Q Commentator GoRush stated that your attack style is different from last season. Compared to single attack style that you carried out, GoRush thinks that you have many different patterns. What’s your thoughts? A Especially when I lost, I realized something when I was playing the matches. I think it’s hard to explain it fully, but I’m learning from my losses.
Q Were any of your teammates mad for your aggressive play style during practice? A I also play standard a lot. I know how to execute every pattern that most Terran players carry out. Thus my teammates do not get mad. However, when we have in-house ranking tournaments, I play it my way.
Q After your match with KT today, you have 6 matches left. How many times do you expect to win? A I want to win at least 4 times. If anything, I would want to have a perfect record. However, I think losing once won’t be a big deal.
Q You have a new nickname, ‘Rabid-Dog Terran’ A I think I got the nickname because every cool nicknames were already given away to older progamers. I mean, look at BravE’s nickname ‘Male Toss.’ Then again, I think ‘Rabid-Dog Terran’ is much better compared to ‘Male Toss’. I don’t hate the nickname because it gives me a unique personality. (T/N someone check the last part to make sure I translated that correct; I might have misread something here but nothing pops up into my head atm).
Dat. Mad. Dog. Manner pylon? F**K you, I bust out the bio on yo ass!
Gotta love this kid, he's like a fresh splash to the aging scene. Hope he continue his success, all the way until the end - imagine Turn busting out some crazyass PENETRATION timing attack (is there even a timing for that) for the final game to clinch the title for Khan... I can almost see it already...
edit: It wasn't the traditional +1 armour mm deep six, more of a crazy suddenly add rax and keel joo strat, calling it a bio-mech switch is appropriate imho.
Official name of the build is : "Stop mannering me - 5Rax pressure".
Nah seriously, its even more awesome that he pulled it without practicing for years(?) in important match. Im happy that Khan is liberal at giving their players a free hand when they feel to (Jangbi vs Alone). You have to let your starsense guide you! Its very high level when players change their build orders by 180 degree when they recognize certain game patterns/situations etc, thats not luck thats experience.
Thats what makes me love (and hate when it fails:D) KHAN/TrollJanuary.
Turn is fucking amazing. And adorable. He doesn't play predictably, and actually knows how to adapt when his original game plan fails. I love the aggressive style; just about all his games have been fun to watch.
Keep on penetrating, mad dog. You can get to 10-0 and be the next flash :3

Thanks for translating snm!
I'd like to associate myself to every word with this post. Turn is an awesome Terran and it's so nice to see him adapt. Improvised bio-mech making it so much more impressive!! Those tanks were hitting a 10second window before that reaver arrived! Mindblowing game. Fuck yeah Turn.
Samsung is fully prepared for the departure of Stork JangBi to Airforce with the emerging players like TurN and BravE. They are already a force to be recknoned with.
Turn is like the opposite of Flash, goes from being a hyper aggressive player into a well rounded reactive player (hopefully), whereas Flash went from being a boring macro player into a well rounded reactive player

Woah woah, before Flash got into the mindset of 14 CC every single game into 3 Base Turtle, he was known as the cheddar terran! He litterally Bunker Rushed Bisu out of OSL. I would say that Flash went from cheese to Turtle then to timing pushes. Now he is just mixing up his plays by combining each elements in adapting accordingly to various circumstances.

Rofl, you serious? Flash started out as a cheesy bastard.

Or go far in a starleague.
The thing is that all we know of TurN's playstyle is that he likes to win in an aggressive fashion. We don't know the method of accomplishing such goal. In this game, TurN is willing to adapt into bionic vs Protoss. If he is willing to go this extent, then I honesty have no clue about what other abusive timing is hidden in that dirty sleeves of his. So the question should really be "How can other players hold off his alpha strikes before plummeting to the ground?"

Yes, that word - penetrate! haha. sick :p
I made an utmost fool of myself by doubting Turn when he was sent out on a very important set against stats, an PvT monster in his own right, and even called him a "child". I eat all my words and I am now a bonafide TuRn fan!
Some things I saw on fomos "talk talk talk" segment (not gossip but just stuff reporters heard and saw):
Turn lost his jacket
Brave didn't get any chocolate
Coaches' comments:
Lee Ji Hoon: Some of the decisions that players made today are lamentable. We need to get our momentum back with victory over SKT.
January: I really enjoyed watching Turn's game. He must have felt provoked after the early game harassment. I thought biomech would be blocked because the observer saw it but Turn's force prevailed.
I feel it's very important that rookies or players with less than stellar records have the confidence to change their preset game plan and do things like this on a whim. They are all pros after all and their growth will be stunted if their too afraid to follow their instincts because the consequences might be worse if they lose.
i remember the first time i saw turn was in his game vs. jaedong
although turn lost, he had this sick insta-decision-making moment when penetrating through jaedong's dark swarm when it seemed like his timing attack had all but failed. it's around 12:00 of the match.

Yeah this game came up in my mind during Turn's game yesterday. I agree that even though he lost, what he did was very very ballsy.

So basically Turn is the guy who often tells himself "Fuck it, let's do this.. LEEEERROOOYYY JEHNKINS"?
