SPL Round 3 Schedule - Page 3

What's wrong with the current format? I actually think it's better than 1v4 and 2v3. In 1v4 and 2v3, there's no real difference whether you end up 1st or 4th in the season since the teams are so close that the usual principle of '1 has an easier time beating 4' doesn't really hold up any more. With the current format, being just one place higher makes a huge difference in that you have one less match to win in the playoffs.

But the thing is, a 1v4/2v3 would mean they would play a Bo3 as opposed to the #1 team just having a bye to the Bo1 finals. It also means we get to see more SC from the no.1 ranked team. If the finals was a Bo3, i probably wouldn't mind it so much. Also if there's less difference between 1 and 4, all the more reason for them to match up so that those that are clutch and have prepared better, go through.

were the mapsets for the matches announced as well?

Yes, they were. I was just too lazy to type them up, haha. Aaaand it just occurred to me that I could simply use replace in Word. Okay, putting the maps in.
