Finally I am to post here too after having scanned almost 30 pages of flames, bad manner, lies but also some truth.
Everyone who really knows me might consider me as one of the most mannered people having lead pG or hanging out in the starcraft scene. And I hope i can still rely on that.
This not going to be an excuse nor will I argue with those among us who are upset. This is a flat explanation.
When somebody who is really close to you and you really like that somebody tells you he will move away to a different city or country due to better chances will you be mad at him? Will you blame him for leaving you alone? Maybe. In the beginning. You will be frustrated and disappointed. In the beginning. After some time you will begin to realize that we all have to decide what we want to achieve in our lives. Everybody wants to \'evolve\', wants to develop. You have to take different roads someday maybe even more difficult paths on which you will grow.
When Fisheye left there was a great hole gaping in pG. Even I one of his best friends he met online was angry and disappointed (even though i had time to get used to that idea). Now I wish him all the best for his career knowing he is not further away than i need to doubleclick his name. But still when he left many were desillusioned considering to leave.
I can look back on 5 years of pG with me. 5 years in which i have achieved every goal a leader can have. But when looking back i realize that there has never been a pG without starcraft and without starcraft there would never have been a pG. This team has always been the backbone of the probably most traditional clan in esport. What would have happened to a pG without a starcraft squad? Hard to tell some say i would have rebuilt it. But to be honest i have \'rebuilt\' this squad more than once and the task always demanded everything i had time and strength. But now neither have i got enough strength nor enough time - i am exhausted.
On gosugamers.net ex-Fire[pG] stated that HcK and ryK have taken over the mangement. It\'s not true. Defender one of those who founded pG is still the head of this clan. And he did not want Fire to be kicked and fire was not kicked by pG. The only person who was kicked is King who leaked and started spreading confidential information. Sorry that\'s justified folks.
So when I was asked what to do since this hole was starting to become bigger and since I was to find a solution I assumed Mondragon to be the only and best solution pG had. I made contact and thought up the concept but the negotiations weren\'t my business at least for the greatest part. From then on everybody knows the story. Inviting a good working unit such as ToT isn\'t stupid or even retarded. Its the best solution pG had. Of course the manner in which the players were in formed and dismissed from the team was really really bad and I already let them know. But the outcome is, I am sorry for all of you who can\'t bear the truth, is positive.
So why am I posting all this? In the first place because I want to tell those who are the victims of these actions that I am really sorry for everything that happened. But also to clear things up! When you need a scapegoat even though you haven\'t taken any damage by pG please blame me. Do not blame Ilvy, Mondragon or Fisheye. They have got nothing to do with it since their actions and reactions are just human like.
All that is left to say is that life goes on. I consider myself blessed having been part of the most successful non korean team in the world with all these players and former players who left before but still are friends. I wish Mondragon all the best for his squad and I am sure that things will develop positively for pG and starcraft in general.
Now in the end I need to thank everyone who has helped me in all those years. There are just to many so I will not make a list of names here but everybody who considers himself addressed gains my 'Thank you'.
No excuses, no farewells and no blaming - nobody's fault.
And now, Take a deep breath, take a look back, let go and start smiling again! ^___________________^

Well I think the point is that you shouldn't tell people to get out more.

I read the first 7 pages and realized it was going to be a complete waste of time. Thank you Kentaro for allowing me to skip to page 30 and have a decent enough post to read and inform me of the closest thing I'm probably going to get to a real explanation.
I think this was a good move for the Professional Foreign BW Scene, pG has the resources and sponsorship to push this new team into the fray with the Koreans and I think its gonna be very beneficial. People who get pissed over the fact that players were let go need to realize that this shit happens all the time in Korea if a player doesn't fullfill the terms of his contract or his sponsors expectations. Although I do agree that the way some of these players were let get really fricken blows.
Best of luck to the old pG players (especially sata - Draco had another sponsorship I believe right?) and to the new pG and their forward progress.

after reading 1-25 ive noticed no one reads :o the same thing keeps repeating and the same answers keep coming up but i still dont like this take-over :p yea nice post kentaro

there are more pts that u say that are invalid but i cba to answer all of them anywways, cuz i doubt u would look outside ur bubble...same as most of us ex:toters hardly would look outside ours.
I don't know who of you are expecting to receive money from pG, but who are you kidding when you say this didn't happen for the $$? OBVIOUSLY this has got everything to do with sponsorship. Whether or not you 'just followed' Mondragon where ever he leads 'ToT' is irrelevant. The switch from ToT to pG is driven by money. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this either. Not at all.
You're really not making much sense, maybe you can point out some of those other issues that are invalid?

We're only expecting mondi to get paid. We just love the team and the spirit in it so damn much that we joined as a team. If we didn't want this to happen, mondi probably would've declined the offer.
He was just so damn excited about this, and let me quote when he told me: "I always played BW for fun and I never really got anything, so this is just so exciting for me!", of course we'll grant him his wish as long as the team stays intact. Thus we as a TEAM, or group of friends, made the move.

And that is exactly what I said; that I thought pG would only have money to support its most important players.

well nazgul didnt say it was anything wrong about that, he just defended himself against trek who somehow claimed the switch wasnt about money, since thats exactly what it was about.
Can people stop being so mad at tot for kicking the "old" pG members. They can do whatever they want, deal with it! (with the new pG that is :o)

Ok thanks daze for clearing nothing up.
Yes its PRETTY obvious that mondi will get a nice share of money or sponsor to tourneys , maybe some other active good player in ToT will get it too.. that i dont know anything about tho. I personally am not that active to claim anything at all ... i dont expect anything either im just following the mates that i enjoy playing with or talking to
Also , i only meant it was kind of "bad manner" to make so many assumptions about mondi unless u are 100% sure about what he feels or what he thinks or how he acts... i dont know if he has a tight attitude against u naz or where u got these ideas from, cuz i personally have no clue .
Maybe if it was ToT towards iG relation i would understand it :p
Btw nice post Kentaro , cleared up alot of things for me ~ -.-V

I wasn't taking sides in this, I was just clearing things up. ;O

Well I think everyone figured that much. Everyone joining, old members up for debate, etc.
And Trek you can't deny Mondragon used to have a dislike for pG, it's like a common fact among all who were pG 2 years ago.
|
ok trek.
once again you where the one who first started saying stuff which you apparently didnt know anything about. you keep saying such things in your posts over and over again, so maybe you shouldnt be so eager to pass out information.

thx Kentaro! simple and understandable as that....
