Place an upwards ramp in staredit

Fetchystick United States43 Posts November 30 2011 22:46 GMT #1 So I like making multiplayer maps for my friend and I to play on, and I would like to know if there is a seperate map editor I need to download in order to place ramps that go from high ground in the south to low ground in the north. Think of the ramps on the 6:00 and 8:00 positions in python. Any help would be appreciated.

Also in order to make those kinds of ramps, you'll either need to place them tile by tile (very hard), or you can download ramp maps from some place like broodwarmaps.net (just search "ramps" or something) and just copy and paste the ramps from there.

After that you can use broodwarmaps.net to find the ramps already done for you. http://www.panschk.de/mappage/newsscript/viewnews.php there you go i find the ramps. http://www.panschk.de/mappage/maplist.php?search=ramps&go=go just open these files (map files) in the editor and you can copy paste.

GenesisX Canada4267 Posts December 01 2011 00:39 GMT #5 Use scmdraft2. It's a much more powerful map editor. Pretty much, staredit is to scmdraft2 as SC64 is to SC:BW. Also, try visiting staredit.net. Although the forum has died down a little, they taught me everything I know about SC mapping.

I haven't used it in a long time, but there's a way to select terrain (hold down shift to add to the current selection so the selection can be non-rectangular shapes).
