The name ENTUS means ENTERTAIN and ENTHUSIASM. What they lack in the skill of making up absurd konglish nouns, they make up with an extremely stacked team. The CJ team has been merged with new faces that represent both the (^_^) and the (-_-), like the unification of the High and Dark Templar castes and combined are a fearsome weapon. CJ's main strength is that they don't rely on a single ace player or players to carry them through, but the fact that they have strong players in all 3 races.
I am not a CJ fan. But they are going to ANNIHILATE everyone this year. They easily have the most depth of any side and with the Ace match being removed from proleague this year, depth will be what wins games.
He is back my friends. The man who reverse-swept Flash to claim an OSL title, then suddenly retired. The man who was challenging Jaedong for the zerg throne. He saddened us with his absence. Now we prepare for a glorious return.
Truly an S-class player, Kim Jung Woo was a ZvP monster in particular but excelled in all matchups. He was CJ's ace player for two seasons before his retirement, including a 25-3 streak in proleague in 2009, the third best streak of all time.
Reportedly tearing up CJ's in-house tournaments, his name alone is enough to strike fear into the heart of opponents. Even if he never reaches the giddying heights he was at before his temporary retirement, this guy is the real deal. He's feeling confident once more. Everyone is excited about his return. You should be too.
Hydra was a B-team zerg for CJ for several seasons. Then last year something happened. He came of age. Now with an MSL title, a win rate approaching 60% and a reputation for being the current best ZvZer in the world, Hydra grew into CJ's ace player last year.
Known for his exceptional mutalisk use, Hydra tends to use safe conventional strategies to win. He isn't the most exciting player, but he is the most solid in the game. You can rely on Hydra to get the job done when it matters most. He is also known for being an extremely hard worker.
These guys are the reason CJ shot up the rankings last year to finish the regular season in second place. Three very different players who complement each other well, they are the barometer of this team. When they play well, CJ win. It's as simple as that.
The man responsible for changing CJ from -_- to ^_^. The undisputed king of PvP upped his game last year and is now scary in all matchups. Where once he was known for hilarious cheese, he is now known for his scary macro. It is now commonplace to see 10+ neatly arranged gateways constantly pumping units.
Despite his poor dress sense, Horang2 is now a key member of CJ's lineup. Extremely strong with his gateway units, he often only attacks once with power and precision. He became a fan favourite last season and is well-loved by his teammates.
A former OSL finalist, Movie is another who experienced a sudden resurgence last season, starting with an all-kill in Winner's League against MBC. Arguably the second best PvZer in the game, he lifted his performance in his weakest matchup, PvP, to become a much more rounded player. He finished the season with a 6-0 PvP streak, he is now much harder to snipe.
He failed badly in the playoffs last season and will be desperate to redeem himself. The hunger is back, Movie will be one to watch this season.
You want a terran to die? Send out Snow. A PvT specialist, he excels at harrass, particularly with reavers. He holds the record for the most kills by an individual unit, with his reaver racking up 72 kills in a game against n.Die_soO
Once known as the Dream League Bonjwa, he started his Dream League career with a 6-0 streak, was selected for the A team and won on debut. He hasn't looked back. Still a relatively new player, Snow is growing rapidly with experience.
One of the most charismatic figures in Starcraft. Well known for his MSL selection ceremonies, he is also an extremely strong player. The Ace for Sparkyz before their merger with CJ, he now is the leading terran in the lineup.
He is well known for popularising 2-port wraith against zerg and is highly proficient in TvT as well, as evidenced by his win against Flash in the proleague playoffs. He is also known for his incredibly high win rate in ace matches.
Ever the entertainer, expect alternative strategies and excellent micro from Leta whenever he is sent out to play.
Skyhigh was the king of TvT. He suffered a severe slump last year and is now definitely behind Flash in the pecking order. However, the guy is clutch when he is needed; former Hwaseung players can speak for him about that. A master of dropship plays in particular, he is a scary matchup for any terran and boast a perfect record against SKT ace Fantasy.
BByong is a rookie who started to experience more game time towards the end of last season after strong performances in Dream League. He hasn't played too many games yet but as he gains experience, look for him to become an integral part of this unit.
CJ were Dream League champions in 2010/11. Not only is there depth in their A-team, their B-teamers are the best in the business too. Players such as Where, SonGDuri and Rush are itching to make an impact. The B team competed on a level footing with minor premiers SKT. Should they get their chance this season expect good things.
OSL winner, former TvT master and innovator, leader, man of ice, scary motherfucker. A veteran of Brood War's golden era, Xellos still maintains a very high win rate despite a stint with Air Force Ace, which destroyed the win rates of many other stars of old. He doesn't play often anymore, but the mere presence of this legend in the team is enough to inspire his teammates.
Should he be sent out, established players beware because he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Just ask Fantasy.
They have the stars. They have the workhorses. They have the snipers. They have the incredible depth. For each matchup they have someone who is absolutely frightening and their coaches excel at getting them their favourite matchups.
While I will cheer for Team 8 this season, CJ are on the march. The heavens and earth tremble with their coming.
Thanks to Nazza for his contributions to this writeup! Also if anyone knows of especially awesome displays from these players, preferably recent, that I could use in their highlights please mention them!
I was swayed by the hype for the new eighth team, but after reading the OP, think I'll be back to cheering for CJ again this season. I have a feeling this will be their year.
Effort and Hydra are arguably the 2nd and 3rd best Zergs right now. Haven't seen Effort play yet but I'm sure he'll be back in his dominating form soon.
Great writeup, and I have to agree. On paper, nobody even comes close to CJ. Well, team8 is pretty damn good, but seriously? How many OSL/MSL finalists are on that damn team? Movie, Hydra, Effort, XellOs...
All this bw shit is awesome, so many hype threads!

Honestly, I think Hydra is overtaking Jaedong (if that's who you are saying is 1st) and ZerO is not that consistent. Effort is downright scary man, heir of the Traitor King.
i like cj ;(, i like to many teams... and there is place for only one <cry>
i wish effort would show us more neo-savior style in this season, i still cannot comprehend his genius in few games (vs light on neo moon glaive, vs kal for example), even if he would be at 70-80% skill of his previous peak he would be still one of the scariest players to play
btw EffOrt looks so cute on this photo :D cute-alien
EffOrt, So excited for his return. Cj will win proleague this year, or at least be one of the winners, not really sure how this season's format is supposed to work. 김정우 화이팅!!!
Effort better bring something good to the table. He's been over-hyped since last season and I hate over-hyped stuff that doesn't deliver (SC2 for example).
My 2nd favorite team. I shall be rooting for CJ in all games they don't play against KT. If BW were played in a Bo15 format CJ would dominate for sure.
Finally the CJ thread...but made by a fan of another team? lol what is this? :p Where are our veterans and well known members? Dont they believe in our team? T.T
Well written, I hope this hypes every CJ fan and we get awesome numbers in every CJ LR thread!
CJ is my second favorite team. I was a huge Effort fan back in his prime and I've been looking forward to his return since he announced it. CJ should be an absolute monster this season.
Haha great Leta picture (oh no i wanted to post dress-leta but i erased my progamer-photo folder noooo~~)
Very interested in how Effort will perform, yo seem to have a lot of confidence but he was away for quite a while...
Meet you on the battlefield Team (-_-)

Like every year, but they manage to mess up Again&Again, like FC Bayern *evil laugh*

I agree Leta looked beastly last season (vFlash lolwut)

GOGO CJ Entus for PL champion 11/12 x2!!!
All the CJ fans were disheartened after the whooping from KT, none show their face anymore. (jk)
Hot damn, I really like Team 8 b/c of JD/Sea wombo combo but I've always had a special place for CJ in my heart ever since...well...forever. asdfjkl; gah so stacked.
One of the better moments during Winners League: checking a Teamliquid LR only to see:
Results: [Player 1] < Leta [Player 2] < Leta [Player 3] < LETA [Player 4] < LETTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always been a big fan of CJ even if I'm not the most avid BW watcher. Really hope they can win this season, or I guess get the tie win since there is no final T.T
You have CJ's special forces team up there instead of the rookies... What does that say about your team if you cant distinguish between your team and just anyone in a CJ jacket? I can find you that pic of SNM if you would like to replace hydra's with it.

SKT!
AHAHAHAHAHAHA *thumbs up* Well it's Dropbear and it's not his main team so I guess it can be forgiven, I also can't believe it was a Fox fan that put this together, where were all the other massive CJ fans?
Job well done Dropbear/Nazza
A merger that boosted the team, followed by a return of a very fierce Zerg player. If CJ doesn't win it this year with this boss of a line up, they'll never win it.
STX seriously needs a thread too, someone get on that.
Savior,Xellos and Gorush are my freaking idol T_T , I will miss them very much ,they bring so much atmosphere to the starcraft scene and made it interesting .

SKT!
I dun know about that, I just like to keep to me blacksmiffin
Note to self: never put effort into anything involving SKT ever :D
I think I have an answer to my previous post in this thread. Veteran members are still recovering from the shocking new uniforms! That must be it...they are sooooo....."pretty" that even the most experienced TL'ers can be scared after just a slight look!
If Effort is good again, they must do it surely.. the lineup is crazy. Makes me wonder why the fuck it's bo5, look at teams like CJ roster!
Also Horang2 was looking dangerous last season, if he keeps up good PvZ and gets his PvT better he's a monster. And Leta deserves to move to S-Class finally, does anyone not like this guy?

I recalled in an interview with boxer , he was asked which player resemble the most closely to his style and Leta was mentioned as the successor of Boxer . Hence leta is Boxer 2.0 indeed and that comeback versus flash was incredible although as a flash fan , I was quite sad that flash lost that game T_T.
Also, does anyone know if Much will be returning when he finishes up his military services? He should be done soon-ish.
On November 20 2011 19:55 Holy Check wrote: I'm going to be in my corner laughing when Effort doesn't live up to every CJ fanboy's expectation.
If he comes back at roughly 70% of his former skill level, he's met my expectations for the season. Straight up, he took time off from the game, he's going to lose skill. But he wasn't gone for an abysmally long time and he still has a chance to recover. Plus, he's had nothing but practice time for an extremely long time - no matches to worry about preparing for.
CJ have always been a team to look out for and with Effort appearing to be back stronger than ever this years PL could easily be CJ's, I'm having such a hard time choosing a team to root for this year!
STX seriously needs a thread too, someone get on that.
The council of STX fans has decided that we are going to hold off on making a thread for STX until we see a match. We decided that it would be best not to make a thread about how we will win Proleague this year when Ace looks like it has a stronger lineup than us this year. By doing so, we prevent making fools of ourselves
People saying Effort is S-class and the zerg-throne contender are wrong.
People saying Effort is overrated are wrong.
Because effort has not played a televised game in over a year.
Still, it's the same shit with CJ every single year. The most stacked team on paper every single year, yet never delivers when it counts, not even making Proleague finals. So CJ fans, don't get your hopes up.
Given the talk about how Effort pwned CJ's A team in the dish washing tournament and that he definitely was S class in times past (i.e. has the talent) I think you guys should give him the benefit of the doubt.
I don't know what to think... Bo7 last season was supposed to hugely favor a deep team such as CJ and look how that ended up. Right now it feels just like Woongjin, two strong zergs and a decent terran and that's it. I hope EffOrt can dong it up or the protoss surpreend.

In the semi-finals barely losing against the would-be champions, in a series that they could even have won easily if the Protoss didn't kinda drop the ball? Overall they might have underperformed a bit but come on don't undersell a pretty great performance.
ooh i didn't even see DropBear kinda covered my Leta bases good man, don't worry aboutputting effort into SKT stuff, the best ones are made in paint anyways (miss ABC starleague heh)

the loss of ACE destroyed KT and Oz (team8 to a lesser extent) as reliable winners, as under this format or the other it still requires 2 other players not named flash for KT to win with more possible matchups and maps, its easier to pick matchups that said 2 can win
CJ and SKT were strong under both this format and the previous, and a strong 3 liner like khan is much stronger

What? KT crushed CJ. Yes, if every player on CJ who lost won instead they could've pulled through.

dunno who would win tho
If the dragons stay on top, I'd rather see KHAN VS CJ Finals.
Bisu/Stork PVP again, epic Jangbang VS Leta, potentialy epic Then Hydra or Effort VS RoRo in a ZVZ Throw the other in there against Reality (Hopefully Effort) Maybe even Skyhigh VS Reality Grape or Shine going up against any Protoss from CJ would be epic.
Oh god, if STX can't make it... Let this happen.
Plus it would be really cool if SKT wasnt in the finals againnnn.
