Great article. Front page material, obviously.
I have to disagree. Basically, this is prompted by competitive impulse and nothing more.
In modern terms though, I can disagree with the backing of an earthquake or two on the scene.
If Flash can make a team win, then JD will be able to make his new stud jacket take him to the playoffs. Flash has been JD's superior in the past, but so so much has changed. The poor boy has just finished surgery. Months of JD's practice, consciously trying to supplant a temporarily crippled player at the top of the heap can only create results. Nobody is sure what Flash will come back with, but nobody expects the bonjwa in the flesh.
And we still have the other cohorts. There are players who could have been serious contenders in those seasons that were moot on account of Flash. There are players who were waiting to blossom, and who have been practicing as much as we have sat worrying about their futures.
Every line that has looked really deep in the past has still shown flaws. If a certain player isn't firing at a key moment, a team can lose a match. If this is a player who isn't as experienced under duress, there can be problems firing at all. It only takes a little psychological slipup to turn a whole match.
I really appreciate you posting this before the season, but I think the angle is a little misplaced. Do you know the proleague schedule even? Do you know when the finals are? There is no way you can be serious about this claim. No way in damn no way.

Man, you can't say that the reason your team will win is that your team is unpredictably good. As an STX fan, I have had plenty of firsthand experience in the particular field.
When I was talking about PL's playoffs I was just trying to illustrate how little we know about the upcoming season. How can one make a reasonable suggestion about the season's conclusion at this point in time.

nobody can predict the future,we make guesses on what we have and yes take that data and mold it to suit our own biases sometimes( just sometimes,I don't let myself take it too far unless I'm trying to be funny).
in the end its just 2 peoples beliefs on why the team that they support will win the season and some people choose to share the belief and some like you don't but it doesn't invalidate it.
