No please dont quit BW and go to SCII, i would feel that that would be a definite end to my BW watching "career".
Jaedong rave on!
Bisu[about JD]=I was scared (laughs). The force emanating from his facial expression was so manly that I was even a little jealous.

Uh, it's Jaedong.

Jaedong

I do also think him switching would kinda kill BW for me on a personal level though, so, here's hoping we get some good news soon.

God forbid Jaedong to KT, or even SKT.

I think SC2 is way too lame of a game for Jaedong, but he might have no other choice if no other team can afford his salary.

And if he indeed switches, then SC2 lameness will be diminished because he will find a way to make it actually fun.

if boxer and july can't make SC2 fun, how would JD make it fun?

a player of jaedong's calibre would bring an amazing amount of hype to the stagnating pro sc2 scene in korea.

either way, people look too deep into netizen rumors/comments. of course jd is just visiting his old lecaf team mates -_-

Is the scene really stagnating in Korea, asking because I haven't seen tons of stuff about GSL failing and what not. Its never been huge in terms of spectators or people watching but I haven't got the impression people are already losing interest.

You actually mentioned the reason for its stagnation: it's the fact that it doesn't have the huge spectating in Korea when you contrast it with BW.

Because of that, it doesn't seem like people are losing interest because there wasn't a huge number that had interest in the first place. All of the are diehards staying around, while the few casual fans are fading away, thus it makes it seem like it isn't losing any steam.

There's certainly potential for SC2 in Korea once the expansions start rolling out, add that to the already huge popularity around the rest of the world and you'll have a game that may stay around for a while.

120 $ worth expansions might even kill SC2 in korea...

The game is cheaper over there, and blizz would not charge 60 dollars for the expansion. Just not happening.

I still think Jaedong to Tiara is the best moving forward. MBCMusic is going to need an all star roster and Jaedong being played as either intro or anchor to Tiara would seriously make them a force to be reckoned with. I am pretty sure they can afford it now since they opened up a few spots recently, but I am still worried that he will not have had enough practice in the transitional period to next season to properly sync his lip micro to his teammates and the match at hand. Time will tell I guess.

Tiara Hwaiting!

*blinks confusedly* Wat.

Not sure if this is slightly off topic, but does anyone know if the Oz players are still practicing/staying at the Oz house, because I think they could only stay until the end of this month? =(

They moved out on the 22nd of September.

Why would Jaedong switch to SC2 when he makes more money in BW? Also, with all he's invested into BW, I doubt he would leave it so easily.

If you look at the former BW pros and semi-pros who switched to SC2, then there are players like Nada, Boxer and July who was very successful, but who at the time didn't have the tools or talent to deal with the new generation of players. Neither of them were Starleague material at that point. These players have made a lot of money, and they probably still made a lot money, because of their name value. These players obviously wasn't content with being second-rate progamers though, so they switched because they needed a new challenge.

Then there are players who never really made it as a BW progamer, like MVP, MC and MarineKing. These players didn't make it for one of two reason, because they were impatient and didn't give BW enough time or effort, or because they weren't talented enough. For them it made sense to switch to SC2, because they didn't make any money playing BW, so it was a fairly risk free move.

If you look at these facts, it makes absolutely no sense why Jaedong would switch, as long as BW is still going.

Common we are in brood war forum... we no need no education. Anyway its just hype. Better keep you rage on SC2 propaganda articles. Such articles were to promote SC2 writers bring up bw history and at the same time neglect bw.

No one with a lick of sense would argue the potential consistency BW money offers for players of Jaedong's caliber. It is only being brought up now by some people because at the moment, as far as we know, he isn't making a dime. He needs a new BW home before these rumor can be definitively squashed.

IMHO, Jaedong hanging out with WC3 players , LoL players , SC2 players, C&C players, or whatever players does NOT mean anything.

Yeah that soccer thing doesn't say anything Oz was also playing against slayers a few days back that's just what they do I'd say^^

He'll make a decision, if he actually does switch, he'll remain as my favorite player overall.
If he stays in BW (which I hope will happen): the same just another game.

I will also keep watching BW as long as I can see games like jangbi vs. fantasy I mean come on guys!!
