In a thread about, where jaedong might go, there's nothing resembling ambulance chasing in suggesting he could go to sc2. Wishing he goes to SC2 is no different then wishing he goes to X team.

i mean it would be nice to see an ACTUYLL GOOD PLAYER switch over to SC2 (don't get me wrong, there are good players, but not a single S-class player in his !!prime!!), but i don't think it's going to happen as long as there's still any money left in broodwar.

I'd say leaving BW altogether is quite different from simply changing teams.

I want to watch OSLs forever, especially ones including Jaedong. But Jaedong himself is a powerful force irrespective of what he's doing, or of what game he's playing.

Hmm even then I do think he plans on switching at some point in the future. I honestly don't want him to yet though. I really want to see him win at least 2 more starleagues before switching/retiring. Please jaedong do it for me!

If SC2 is ever mentions everyone ignites and starts hunting for the SC2 fanboy, even when it was a BW fan that actually brought it up. I was just saying BW fans can be just as polarizing as a lot of SC2 trolls around here.

I don't think any of the people disagreeing with you are being hypersensitive at all. There are a lot of understandably anxious people reading this thread. Saying a lot of inflammatory things and then excusing yourself with a rant about bw/sc2 meta discourse is hardly laying any kind of foundation for 'mature discussion'.

What I take from that interview is that at the time Jaedong thought SC2 was gonna have a lot of money in it and that he might make a lot more and get international fame by playing SC2, but as we can see a year later SC2 isn't at a point where it can pay Jaedong what he earns from BW yet. When he says 'a few years' I think he is saying 'if SC2 can ever afford me and if I have no more goals left in BW.' This was also before we knew how many flaws SC2 has that restrict good players from being miles above everyone else, and before winning tournaments in SC2 were shown to be pretty meaningless since there are just too many for anyone to care that much. What SC2 needs is not good players like Jaedong, but a more competitive system. A lot of people hated on KeSPA when they wouldn't support GOMTV half hassed attempt to do a Starleague, and really in SC2 we are seeing the results that a lack of focused competition bring. Too many games a week, impossible to watch everything. It was hectic enough in BW with proleague having so many games, but SC2 is miles away from even that. I think the best points about SC2 being a possibility for Jaedong is the one about Nada and other players doing school at the same time because SC2 is easy. That is a reasonably convincing argument.

What have I said that was inflammatory, I was responding to a discourse that was already inflamed before I contributed my thoughts. In this particular case, a generally civil discussion involving realistic SC2 possiblities for jaedong due to a series of circumstances was taking place. Then problem started when a few snide remarks came from SC2 fans and BW fans, I was pointing out that contrary to popular belief, there is definitely a BW fan component in the polarized and drama filled relationship between the two communities.

If SC2 is ever mentions everyone ignites and starts hunting for the SC2 fanboy, even when it was a BW fan that actually brought it up. I was just saying BW fans can be just as polarizing as a lot of SC2 trolls around here.
The question is why do you come to the broodwar forum with these posts? Aren't the blob on blob warfare threads in the sc2 forum exciting enough?
