But whats up with Oz. Is it them who are breaking up. Did Hwaseung and Lecaf pull their moneys already mid season? Because with the sudden Tubes 100% sponsorship that would seem to be the case, and perhaps now that the Tubes contract is ending, so may the team...

Like, Koreans aren't losing interest in bw at all, and viewership is the main concern for both the channels and the team sponsors. So as I see it there is either something going on behind the scenes, or these teams just got very unlucky with their main sponsors (as in their sponsors' economy aren't doing well or something). Maybe sponsoring teams has gotten a reputation for corporations in South Korea? Most of these teams rumoured to be pulling sponsorship have been running teams for 4-5 years at the very least. That's about the life-span of a major sponsorship in BW. The question is whether they'll be able to find new sponsors. I think if the Shanghai final had succeeded, it would have helped a lot. Also, progaming's image has taken a big hit in the last year or two, with several Korean media reports about gaming addiction and the match-fixing scandal.

Could you have made a post that's more wrong? economic downturn? financial crisis peaked more than a year ago... starcraft 2? We Made Fox are closing their SC2 team as well. aging of core fans? last stats show that kt + skt drew 20% of all KR teens to watch.
