Once the King falls, there will be no one to command his servants, leading to implosion of the industry.

I mean if one guy (BoxeR) could do it, surely a company could as well? That one guy Lim Yo Hwan has lot of fame and respect in his acheivement and definitely could have pull some strings to get things done how ever . I am not sure any pro gamer left in the bw scene has any say to company pulling out of the scene like any business . The employer if he wants to pull out or close a department , they have the right to close at any time if they find it not pulling in their respective expectation it could be etc poor advertisement of their franchise or loss of profit . Hence pulling out bw could mean one thing , it could be retrenchment or the guys on top who are not interested in these e sport business decides to use the money instead to go to switzerland and put in all the money in to swiz bank instead of investing in to their pro league team. I think its pretty natural movement in my opinion . I am sadden by it but I can't do anything ![]()

Anyway, how can people take a 7 team league seriously? The finals playoffs would consist of what, 4 teams? This would be a huge regression to the perception of BW esports in Korea, and with this cultural stigma, BW progaming probably won't ever recover in Korea. Honestly, some of the teams were kind of awful. Khan, Oz, Fox, MBC, STX are the worst teams in the league and consolidating some of them or doing some structural changes could in fact strengthen the scene. Khan lost great and Stork is slumping and January sucks. Oz seems to be getting better with Killer stepping up but they were very poor for the entire season, excluding WL. Fox is just terminally awful. MBC lost light and I would not be surprised to see some of the others quit, assuming the team doesn't disband altogether. STX is... well, they have Bogus and that's it. BogusSTX. The remaining four teams are SKT, KT, Stars and CJ. All great teams with a lot of depth. The shitty teams need fresh blood and if teams need to merge or die to make it happen, then so be it. Quality > quantity. This message has been brought to you by the optimism squad.
