Only thing that really concerns me is what littlefighter already mentioned, and that he may further injure himself in practicing for the upcoming events. These are high-tension environments for him... also, when will the OSL conclude? If Flash is going to get the surgery until after all of that, and we assume that he goes to the finals, that's still a pretty long period of time before he receives the surgery right? :S

I'll be honest, the selfish greedy part of me wished that he would retire.
But the honest part of me is glad, BW needs Flash.

Even though I'm a big SC racist and hate terran. I hope he comes through his surgery stronger so I can continue disliking him(winning everything) with a vengeance, without Flash it just won't be the same.

hope the surgery goes well.
flash is starcraft

It's weird saying wrist surgury is good news, but I'm excited that he isn't retiering. The translation lead me to believe though that he will be dropping out of the MSL though?

yaaaay! i was so bummed at the thought of flash retiring

Good luck with your surgery Flash!! Get well soon! <3 <3 <3

This is so awesome, I'm really happy, even being a JD fan.

This sounds like standard PR. CTS surgery takes months to recover from, if at all. Them saying "he should be ready to play 30 days after" is the absolute best case scenario, but the high likelihood is that when he starts playing en masse again, the problem will come back :\

So the surgery doesn't also prevent a future problem, and it can redevelop if he continues his rigorous practicing and schedule? That's absolutely terrible if true.
And also, somebody already ask, but is there any confirmation that he will indeed drop out of the MSL?

Oh nice, maybe he can switch to SC2 after surgery. Can't wait to see him there. Does this mean that OSL and MSL will be postponed, or will he drop out.
Well, good luck, Flash!

it's so unfortunate that he's so young and in order to continue working, to continue his career, he needs SURGERY.. we just aren't evolved for computers 'n stuff.
all the best flash, I am really excited to be able to see you continue playing, just take it easy.

The happy part is that his wrist can be fixed. The sad part is that I believe he just wouldn't be as good as he was after the 4 months of resting.
Bonus points goes to KT for taking such good care of Flash.

Glad to see he's not retiring. Hate him (and I do, oh so much) or not, BW needs Flash. Without him, it'd be strange.

Yea... hope he takes that recovery time seriously so he doesn't mess up the healing process.. Flash hwaeeting T_T

Best of luck to him. He is a treat to watch every time, and I would hate to see him retire.
Even though I wish other players would learn how to beat him once in a while -.-

That depends on WHAT causes the carpal tunnel syndrome in the first place, and what procedure they elect to do. But yes, relapse is quite possible.

Flash must make Ro4 otherwise he might fail the prelims.
