Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it.

just no. /in denial ![]() Something's bound to happen! They have such a huge legacy it can't evaporate like this, I'm sure there must be a company willing to take the MSL to a new breeding ground? This is like learning your best friend from childhood is going to die ![]() OSL was always the dazzling theatre of drama but MSL was the true champions' arena.. *sob*

Damn well we are going to be pissed off . Sure grow up how about other guys who bring in their childish comments who are not receptive over the issue hand .That's just bullshit. So.... red text doesn't do much for you I see. The people talking "trash" on BW are few and have been dealt with summarily, and most of the posts, whether they be from pure BW fans, pure SC2 fans, or people who have come to appreciate both are all saying the same thing: Where does this leave eSports? Leave your aggression at the door. Does this tell us anything about eSports' mainstream popularity in Korea as a whole, or is this just a set of secondary issues? Before SC2 even came out, I figured if it failed there would still be a vibrant BW competitive scene to fall back on, but this is a scary moment. If the GSL were to crack (not saying it will, but it's certainly always a concern) where would everything go after that?

The company that operates MBCGame has decided to change it into a music cable channel instead, planning to begin the process in August and complete the switch by the end of the year. All game related activities will be wrapped up by then, with the current MSL becoming the final MBCGame Starcraft League. Ow. That really, really hurts. This was the news Ryo spoke of when he blogged. That is a brutal blow. ![]() That just ruined my day.

I loved that there were two channels and two leagues and two matches on Proleague nights. The whole world of my hobby just got much smaller and I hate it ![]()

First match fixing scandal and now this? I'm starting to question wether BW will survive this. Thoughts? Considering that BW has 4:3 graphics with just VGA resolution and is using no more than 256 colors it's strange that it is still played today, in the times of 16 ![]()

Omg this sux. Is it something to do with ratings or something? Can I rage at Kpop for leading to this? Really hope the Tyrant wins this MSL. Its been a long time coming.
