The main idea of the movie is the following: I take the mp3 mix, and dub video portion to it with satisfying next conditions: video must fit the audio as much as possible (for example, if we have transition from one audio track to another in the 5th minute of the mix – then we must have transition from one video scene to another video scene in the 5th minute of the video, and various notable sounds like beats, fun sounds or even words – must have some effects in the video, which fit these sounds). In other words – the video should «dance» accordingly to the music. The same idea often used in the demoscene. By the way, if you want to detect all of this correspondence between the video and the music - you have to watch this movie at least 10 times (or even more), because is it impossible to see them all during the first watch.

Also I want to express BIG gratitude to the Chinese vods on youku with “nice” sounds in 95% of the vods: I was forced to watch “Flash v Hyuk” without sound, and with the music from winamp – only because of this the idea of the movie was born. If I hadn’t watched the vod with “The Prodigy” in winamp – this movie would not have been born.
I really dislike that kind of music, but there were some pretty good/funny ideas in the movie. A bit too meme heavy if you ask me, but pretty nice overall.

Also, as I undesrtand, the second reason is "Russian"-based part. This movie is not full without the Russian part, so maybe this made some people to "not understand the whole movie".
The third reason is next: most of people (who played starcraft and watched vods) - prefer the movies, which put BW on the highest priority of the movie. But my movie has next priorities:

2) Second priority is fun, jokes and memes. A lof of memes are Russian-based (or even local-forum based), so only Russians (or members of these local forums) can understand them. I was very surprised, that non-russian people can like this style (and even ask me to translate other my cartoons to english).
3) Lowest priority is BW. This is the most often reason to harsh, because most of people like movies, which has BW on the highest priority. Their questions are like "I dont get who won - Flash or iloveoov?". Also they hate my transitions, because they want to know - what stork do during the transition from "flash vs stork" to "baby vs fantasy". This is not important information in this movie and you dont have to try to understand what happened during these transitions, but people try to understand and harshing.

BTW I thought the same, I saw many highlight or hype videos for BW, but this is just humorous video, and the idea of making fun of + expressing deep admiration of BW players and all the layout of the video are somewhat unique. OK it could be made by a professional and then it would be possibly 100 times better, but still - it's a cool idea and nice realisation of it. TBH I feel like wtf, I'm NOT a fan of electronic music, but I didn't feel that it's hard to listen or something... it fits the video very well (especially hiya and shine moments lol). Just watch it on low volume as I did if you're not familiar with electronic music...

Interesting opinion. The advantage - better quality, the main disadvantage - different opinions of the team members can stop producing the movie.
I'm very sorry that you had headache watching this movie, but I watched this at least 30 times and hadn't any headaches or eye-destroying.

I thought about this. I watched German demos (kewlers, farb-rausch, haujobb) with both English and German/Finnish text. I tried to imagine that I watching French or Danish movie with both English and Danish text. And I had no reasons to say that this text need to be removed - I just will not understand the German/Danish part, not the whole demo/movie.
But I dont think that you are not right, so maybe I will made "English only version" in future (because this take a lot of time and some parts of the movie are too hard for translating to English).
I can tell alot of work went into this and it's fairly creative and thoughtful, but it doesn't actually seem to convey a whole lot. Largely a meaningless sequence of images. The images were fine, but the sequence seemed somewhat random. If you find randomness amusing I suppose it's good for you.

Imho not all music is mixable, but this mix has been chosen because of some special reasons, for example "iloooov, hiya forever, shine" sounds. Also I like most of the tracks in this mix.
I agree with you about syncing action with the music - it always fun to watch good syncing between video and the music (not only in BW - also in demoscene for example). But I didnt know a lot of "synced" BW videos - most of the movie makers just making high quality epic moments, but without good syncing (or even without any syncing) and this is sad.

I'm not 100% sure, but if I remember correctly Sonic09 (German) used DJ Sets in his "Art Of Protoss/Zerg/Terran(?)" Movies. That was back in 2003/2004 though. It's incredible hard to come up with any kind of thing with only using BW engine nobody ever seen before. Don't get me wrong, I encourage you to do more I know how hard that is, I did a few movies myself. In the end I pretty much hated most of them, simply due to the fact that if you really want to do something good, you have to watch it over and over again, including the music and the scenes. I guess the hardest part is to keep the distance from actually being consumed by the process and seeing it through the eyes of a not-involved person.

I think you've been more interested in the technical challenge that is to make the audio and the video match, rather than in how enjoyable the final result would be.
I have to say that, yes, the music was extremely annoying. I don't know if I'm a mainstream person listening to mainstream music, so that I don't appreciate your stuff. But on the other hand, the prodigy (not remixed) is nearly mainstream, and even their songs are (not always) less aggressive.
And also, not all matches are good either. Boxer vs Jaedong (7.50 in the first video) is just an early pool, but in the video, the resulting mix lasts... forever... (it made me stop the video)
Even though it's not excellent, please, keep on working! You'll get better, and everyone will be able to appreciate your stuff!
P.S : No use to make subtitles in english AND in russian (I guess). Make two videos, post the english version on TL and english websites, and the other one on russian websites =)
