I made this just today. Seems like a cute thing to do to show my fanboism.

How about an option that puts the SC2 section below the BW section, rather than removing it entirely.

THIS, would be awesome. But what would be even better, an I've considered suggesting it to R1CH, it to increase the number of Threads in each section that are visible, so that way if NaDa's Body has been bumped in the past 10 threads I'll know immediately

There's still the forum index for those who check SCII stuff infrequently (such as myself.) Index browsing is apparently the superior way to navigate TL, anyway.

I actually do have one, but I have no programming/coding knowledge whatsoever, so I don't know if it would be feasible (without help on TL's end.)

Similar to what you did with this extension, would there be anyway you could filter the Upcoming Events area on the side so that only BW/TL related items appear? With so many SCII events happening daily, it's a bit of a pain to just quickly glimpse to the right hand side and see what BW events are happening that day/the next few days.

I agree with grobyc, if you could do that that'd be awesome. There are way too many of them, and they pollute all my space.

Thanks everyone !~

I don't think I'll be able to filter the upcoming events or the news / most of the site because it's hard to tell which is SC2 and which is BW.

I'll be able to filter the streams because they're clearly labeled. Not tonight though. If anyone knows HTML the stream listing is... wack! Instead of <li> as you would normally expect TL uses some zany hack.

Anyway, I updated the extension just now because I realized I had a useless icon on the chrome extensions menu just sitting there taking up space. The update just removes that.

Thanks for your kind remarks, feels good.

Yeah, I thought that might be a problem. Unless someone were to manually enter in whether an item is SCII/BW and do it for every event listed, I don't imagine an automated program would be able to do it. That's why I included the without TL's help when I asked; I imagine if there was a way for the person who updates the calendar to check whether it was a BW/SCII event, then it may be easier. But I don't know if it's a one person job, or if multiple people do it.

Once again, please forgive my complete lack of knowledge, but I guess one way to go about it would be to set flags for BW events that frequently appear on the upcoming events section. Such as OSL, MSL, SWL, BW team names and so forth. And then have it so each item that has one or more of those tags is made visible and any that don't are hidden. But I have no idea how much work that would be, or if it's even possible.

As it is, thanks for making this awesome extension. :D

    Copy this into a bookmarklet (or straight to your url bar):

    javascript:var x=document.getElementById('nav_starcraft2');
    x.style.display='none';x.nextSibling.style.display='none';void(0);

    Of course it will only hide the SC2 section once on the one page where you click/paste it (so arguably it's pretty useless as it is), it needs to be turned into a proper extension to automate it. + Show Spoiler [how to make extension?] +
    I didnt try it, but I think all that would take is to add the code in an event listener to the DOMContentLoaded or the load event and include it on all teamliquid.net domains.

    What teamliquid could do is make all the forums under the news drag & drop-able. That way everyone could customize in what order things appear without changing the general look & feel of the site.

    You know something like this:

    Yea, i tried it myself too, in fact the only thing necessary to do is to append the original Chrome Addon CSS file in CTRL+12 - Advanced - Content - Style Options+ Show Spoiler +
    #nav_starcraft2+table {
    display:none;
    }
    #nav_starcraft2 {
    display:none;
    visibility:hidden;
    margin-top:-25px;
    }

    to operas user style CSS file(and apparently Firefox too has a userContent.css to which it could be added)

    Probably the best solution to this would be some profile settings at TL itself. For example, I don't care about SC2 events at all and it polutes everything (news, calendar, streams, ...). On the other hand, a lot of SC2 fans surely don't care about BW at all. So the default setting would be exactly the same as it is now but you could set in your profiles some filtering (for forums, news, calendar, streams, ...).

    Anyway, a nice plugin, I will use probably for a while.

    Wow nice. I love the old side bar.

    awesome work. but yeah, just to reiterate what the people said about its functionality. Filter streams and calendar events and maybe front page news? I dunno but if we'll go that far we might as well ask the mods for an "old school" mode for TL where everything is just about BW.

    ok nvm I just read the thread..)

    wow this fixed the inch or so space in the sidebar...not that I miss it or anything.

    javascript:var x=document.getElementById('nav_starcraft2');
    x.style.display='none';x.nextSibling.style.display='none';void(0);

    Taken your code and made a script for GreaseMonkey for Firefox, hope you don't mind.

    Just install the GreaseMonkey addon and then this script and it should work. You shouldn't see the SC2 section anymore.

    If there's some problems, let me know.

    wow thanks quirinus, i'm using it, it's working good.

    And if you have time you could add some features like "show sc2 related forums on the bottom of the page" or "hide/show sc2 streams", "hide the Fan club forum" and so on.

    nice stuff

    Sure, that's easy. Watching TSL now tho, I'll do it later.

    Any chance for a javscript or Css version or something.. for use with opera :D

    Copy this into a bookmarklet (or straight to your url bar):

    javascript:var x=document.getElementById('nav_starcraft2');
    x.style.display='none';x.nextSibling.style.display='none';void(0);

    Added the suggestions. Now only the BW streams show, plus the featured streams.
    You can turn them on/off in the top right corner, but due to some bug you have to click two times to turn it on/off. The download link is the same.

    I'll fix the bugs in a few days, gotta study now. Sorry for hijacking your thread gen.Sun.
