that way you'll see the iccup map folder as soon as you try to create the maps. or... you can put the maps themselves in the \maps\broodwar\ folder if you want to see them when you try to create. when playing 1v1, use the game mode one on one, and speed on fastest, make melee versions of maps. for 2v2, use top vs bottom mode. for playing with friends, you can use 1v1 maps on melee, or obs maps on use map settings. you can use /j op teamliquid to join the tl channel (or /j <chan name> for other channels) /motw for the maps of the week list, they give more points when you win /f add <name> is to add someone to your friends list /f remove <name> removes /f m is for messaging everyone on the list /f o to see who of your friends is online and where (game name or channel); note: you'll only be able to see where they are if they added you too /f l lists all your friends and if they're online and where /w <name> is to whisper someone a msg /ignore <name> squelches someone now, when making games, try to make motw maps, and name them like "1v1 <rank> <map/short map name>". so, for example: 1v1 D+ Python. try to avoid joining games that aren't for your rank, because most people will ban you.

use /ah to see if the antihack is on. besides, the launcher has many cool features, like lan latency, which makes microing and playing a lot easier. then, it has the autoreplay feature that saves your replays automatically (in \maps\replays\autoreplay\). if you want to watch the last replay, just find the last replay there, or load up LastReplay.rep in the \maps\replays\ folder. /f add bmk.Quirinus if you need any help
