Jaedong, “Being able to get a 1-kill these days made me so happy”

“Tyrant” Jaedong smiled brightly at a simple 1-kill today.
In Hwaseung Oz’s match against WeMade Fox on the 27th, Jaedong was sent out for the 5th set where he overwhelmed RorO.
Suddenly sent out after expecting an all-kill by HiyA, Jaedong said that he was “happy that his team won and even if I did only 1-kill today, everyone on our team is doing well so getting the one kill in our current situation is something to be very happy about”.
Next is his interview:
Your feelings on finishing the match for your team.
HiyA was doing so good I thought he would make an all-kill but whether his preparation for the fourth set wasn’t as perfect as the other sets or not, my turn came up. I got sent out in the spur of the moment but I’m glad I could do at least a 1-kill for our team and help us win.
So being sent out last wasn’t something that the team had planned beforehand?
My other teammates could have easily been sent out but the coach gave me the chance to play so I felt that I really needed get this 1-kill even more so than usual. Our teammates are doing so well these days it’s hard to get an opportunity to play (laughs).
If you think about how Oz was called a one-man team, a lot has changed now.
I definitely think it’s a good thing and I see it in a positive light. In any case, I want to do my part when my turn comes and I like it when my teammates are all doing well. Long time ago I always felt the pressure to make a multi-kill but now that our team is stronger as a whole, I don’t feel so burdened anymore. And when I do get sent out, I just have to focus on winning.
You seemed like too much of an opponent for Fox, and especially RorO.
To be honest, I don’t know the reason why. For some strange reason, even when I’m at a disadvantage, I end up coming back when I play WeMade Fox players. I also think they cower more than usual. It was like this when we played Hite Sparkyz so I think when the wins stack up, these kind of things happen.
Your expression of happiness was caught on camera.
I usually (T/N: actually never) do not smile during televised matches but the game today was turning out so well and because I got to play even though I thought I wouldn’t be sent out, I was a lot happier than usual. And it’s only one win and it’s not very impactful but I got the opportunity to play – and win – in a situation where it’s hard to be sent out so I was really pleased (laughs).
There still hasn’t been a Zerg all-killer. Don’t you have thoughts about being sent out first and making an all-kill?
I do have the ambition to do that but I think it’s up to the coach. I think it’s interesting that there hasn’t been a Zerg all-killer yet and it’d be nice if I was able to be the first.
Any last words.
There is player named hOpe on Samsung KHAN and I heard that it is his birthday today. Even though he’s on a different team, he’s a good friend that cheers for me a lot so I want to say happy birthday to him.

HiyA, “I realized during my games that today would be one of my good days”

HiyA recorded a 3-kill against WeMade Fox in the Oz – WeMade Fox match on the 27th.
HiyA defeated BaBy, Mind, and Pure, playing an active part in his team’s victory. Even with outstanding play, HiyA said that he “still is not satisfied with his play”, suggesting that he wants to increase his team’s momentum and go up on the rankings.
Next is his interview:
You were the biggest part of your team’s victory today with your 3-kill.
I’m very happy that I could do a 3-kill but if I had done an all-kill today, I could have raised my Proleague win ratio so I’m kind of disappointed. But I’m happy that our team won and I’m happy that we are on a winning streak.
WeMade Fox has a strong Terran line. Were you still hoping for an all-kill?
No not really. After I was chosen to be sent out first, I practice mainly for my first two games and I practiced mainly my TvT. I don’t have much confidence in my TvT but I practiced with an attitude that it would be a learning experience but it turns out that in my real games I played much better.
How were your games?
After I beat BaBy and after my first scout against Mind was successful I thought that today was going to be a good day. With that force, I did a 2 factory all-in in my third set and I think that worked very well.
You must be disappointed in your loss against RorO.
I knew that he could no nothing besides mutalisks or a drop but I still lost so I’m really unhappy about it. I thought he would do a drop but then he went mutalisks and I got beat. I’m still left with a lot of disappointment.
I think it’s definitely becoming “Carp League” now.
I saw the VODs and I still think that I’m lacking so I’m not satisfied. I could have finished game 1 and 2 more cleanly but I know my mistakes so I hope I can learn from them and play better in the future.
You’re playing Woongjin Stars next. Do you have confidence against them?
I think I just have to practice hard regardless of what team we face. And we’re on a winning stream so I want to continue our momentum and keep winning throughout Winner’s League.
The team’s mood must be a lot better now that your record is getting better.
It’s definitely different from when only Jaedong played well. Now that we are winning thanks to other teammates, our team atmosphere has gotten a lot better.
Any last words.
My game record hasn’t been great these days but a lot of fans are still cheering for me so I want to thank them. Samsung KHAN players also helped me a lot so I want to thank them too. I will work hard so that our team can get higher than before.
