in starcraft u dont need maximum precision. Units are large, its easy click on them. Hard is make it enough fast...
With medium mouse speed and without acceleration you can easly and fast click/select all units (in move too).

IMO acceleration is good only with old mouse, when maximum speed in drivers is too slow.

max speed, no accel...
I believe the pros use pretty fast speed or else they would have to move their mouse to much and get freakin' tired really fast. But then again, it differs from ppl to ppl...

accelerations are too high ... even low acceleration is just TOO MUCH.. mouse moves SO slow normally and then so fast the rest of the time. if they made way lower acceleration settings then MAYBe.

you guys who use max speed are silly too.. i dont think any pros use max speed

xellos uses like.. speed 8 no accel i think. or it might be 7. (mouseware) use search function

I use Sens 7 and "Enhanced Pointer Prescision" it feels perfect for both CoD and StarCraft, and since im prodominatly a mouse user im really picky with the settings and what feels right when it comes to Mouse's, I think you should all try it for me its the perfect setting

Edit: 6 feels so sluggish, and 8 throws itself around for no reason

you almost never see a pro individually click on a single unit
they drag boxes everywhere, and for good reason

i've used it for years, im used to it now and would probably take forever to change to not using it. im just as accurate as the next though, it helps imo if you can get used to it, speeds things up.

I for the longest time did not think that I used it, but then one day when Rekrul was at my house he was using my mouse and made the comment that I was using acceleration. Turns out the logitech drivers have a setting to "Turn off acceleration in games" that doesn't actually work in Broodwar, so since Rek doesn't play with acceleration he noticed it. I since then have tried playing without out it, and my mouse just seems to lag behind to much.

I play with logitech drivers halfway up, and low acceleration.

most of them dont i think maybe only 3-4 do.

i used to, but it is a lot more accurate to have no acceleration especially when you will be playing competition games on other computers because the settings change mildly so it makes it easier to adjust
