"I had to all-in because I had to go to the bathroom."
Cue epic luls.
Quotes from interview: "I had prepared a macro game, but I had to go pee so I did an all-in rush." "I think it worked because I was able to defend his cheese so well." "I think I would feel bad if I won against Mind because he is 0-1 already."

And today he really played well. He didn't just go blind in his all-in. That decision was based on scouting.
The whole reason of this thread is to laugh about Shine going all-in because he has to pee
This reminds me of like the only SC2 game I watched where one of the players said they all-ined because they wanted to eat. But this is funnier. This OSL makes absolutely no sense. The finals will be Hogil>Shine.

why should I stop hating him because of his accomplishments or playstyle or whatever. Bisu has plenty of achievements and amazing style but there are plenty of ppl here that hate him with a passion. See what I mean, its personal . Shine is rubbish, he will never change that, cause there is no way for me to recognize him as good. But who cares

lol unorthodox, you are missing the word buddy - its superior. Bisu beat nal_ra and savior with solid play, no all-in micro gimmicks like Shine or Kwanro or any other scrub

...and yet he still can't beat scrubby little Shine to save his life. Feel free to make yourself feel better by saying that Bisu plays prettier Starcraft - noone's going to argue with you. Maybe it'll help him pass the OSL prelims next time.
And what is Shine, if not unorthodox? Does anyone even remotely have the same style of play that he does?

Kwanro?
I don't know.. I haven't seen too much of Kwanro recently (who has?) but I feel like Shine stops the game from going to lategame with all his might, because he knows that he's not as strong there. Selective memory tells me Kwanro does tend to get to late game sometimes, and is ridiculed for it.
Although Shine did beat out some scrub terran by playing classic TvZ a few weeks ago - BByong? So FWIW.

Indeed, Shine really is scrubby, even though he's the 8th best player by ELO currently.
Man, that means Stork, Sea, Best, Zero etc must be REALLY bad.
People, like you say, might not like the way Shine plays, but recently it has been damned effective it seems.

I was sarcastically agreeing with your sarcasm, as in, agreeing with your original sentiment
i love shine and sea but sea just had the most dumb build order ever, and shine took 'advantage' of that he won honest because sea had a really bad build order
i hate bisu and kwanro because bisu is... bisu and skt fanboys only care about the team performance and not the players themselves (imo) and kwanro is pikachu. I always evolved him to raichy in pokemon red :D shine deserved it, because sea played too bad to defend properly

What I always thought about Shine, is that he's an extremely lucky guy. Well almost all his victories, you can write off to some luck or coincidence, most of them I'm sure, He himself does say so in his interviews. There are such ppl that you meet, that seem like completely non-competent , but they can achieve much more that you could expect of them here and there. This I think is Shine, a great spoiler, chaotic unpredictable sparkle, that ruins our aspirations. Well, this is indeed very funny.

I agree, the dude looks timid and harmless but when he is in a game he is a beast. If he sees any opening or moment of weakness he is willing to gamble on it and just take the victory right there.
That bisu game on pathfinder, bisu became much too cocky after his zealots did so much damage and chose to neglect his corsairs. Then within minutes shine pumps sudden muta/scourge and shuts down bisu's main and expo, netting him a come back.
I think I started to like him after the Bisu game on Pathfinder. It cracked me up pretty hard and it was pretty genius because making those mutas was probably the one and only option that could have let him make a comeback. I'll never really be a huge fan because I've never really liked really aggressive Zergs but his games against Bisu have always been entertaining and highly surprising at times.
So i guess diarrhea and bladder problems are all you need to win against bisu and sea. Toilet Zerg - Shitty Zerg. although I have to say he is much more better than most of those mediocre zergs that have gone down from the top 15 in the ranking cause swarms season is over (over a year ago). Zergs like to troll people really hard Effort winning an osl after a rererererere game with a broken mouse and Shine destroying all possibilities of ever having a Toss Bonjwa. Bad Toss players just make you Lol at the amount of fail and Terrans make you go to sleep with their tvt´s. Thats BW but I Like it.
XellOs earned his moniker of the "DDR Terran" from an Ongamenet program that visited the training houses of the progamming teams. When GO was visited, written on a whiteboard was the comment "If XellOs refrains from DDR, he wins OSL." While foreigners may interpret the acronym DDR as the famous game Dance Dance Revolution, Koreans also use DDR when referring to masturbation or "Ddal Ddal Re." When GoRush commented that the progamer he respects the most is XellOs due to his "night work," XellOs was sealed as the DDR Terran.
2) Gundam's shit incident. During the OGN Proleague, Gundam paused the game and started spamming. At first no one saw what it was but he typed WC WC WC WC WC and went off to take a shit during a game. This also gave him the nick name "shit terran".
In the 2010 Bacchus OSL, another legend has been born.

as a bisu anti fan, i hate him with a passion because of angry fan nerds, I actually have nothing against his play, I assume (outside of savior fanboys) that this is the case for most bisu anti fans.
also, shine has been showing great play since that whole effort fiasco, even a few macrogames vs protoss where he just shits on the other guy
Har har, what a nice toilet excuse! Is Shine the next Kwanro?! Honestly, I do not care if he extends his winning streak, but at least give our dear Protoss heroes some slack, will you? =P Take out your hidden bladder power on Flash instead!
well he's doing quite well he's a t his peak of his elo with a very impressive streak of vs zergs and good wins vs leta and sea + vs bisu in a bo3 undefeated in the osl and msl yep that qualifies him as top 4
Shine is definitely doing very well, but I definitely dislike him. I don't even like Bisu or anything, and I realize that Shine isn't that bad, but I just don't like him

Maybe we'll see in a week? Top four might be tough but 5 is pretty mlarghable.
I think Shine is the zerg player now, besides maybe Jaedong. He has impeccable hydralisk control and impeccable macro to keep making hydralisks. Also, sometimes he mixes it ups with ling all-ins or muta aggression. You never know with this guy. He just has such a big toolbox of brilliant all-in strategies. hahahaha man, if only rain apologized like this in the SC 2 scene... "I had to all-in Nestea because I had to go to the bathroom" hahahaha oh shine, so bad yet so hilarious! :D
I dont understand how this game was an all in by shine
Sea opens with 8 rax bunker rush, shine defends. Sea techs to counter mutas with fast vessel Sea also takes an earlier-than-expected expansion which Shine scouts. Shine realizes Sea can't have many units out because of his greedy play so Shine attacks.
Would any other player not attack? If your opponent plays greedy then you are basically forced to attack or play greedier in return.

It's because people have a great dislike for the guy. As for me, Shine is a pretty awesome Zerg to watch make people cry. ^^

He's got a THIRTEEN game winning streak. He's in both Starleagues. He hasn't lost a game since the last power ranking. He's now SIXTH in the ELO rankings (and at his own personal peak)
If he is not at the TOP of the power rank, then what the hell do you need to do to get there?

Eliminate Flash and Jaedong. Which he has yet to do. Give it time. He should be at least #5, and 4 or 3 is also not unreasonable. But despite 0-1 in OSL so far, Flash and Jaedong are still quite alive and, frankly, more powerful than Shine.

Eliminate Flash from OSL and I will worship him forever.
But lol, Shine MUST be in the power rank of that month imho. If the guy with 13 winstreak, including wins over Sea, Leta, Bisu and Kal (more than 50% of which weren't cheese or all-in X_X ) isn't in power rank i dunno who to put on it then :D
My Shine tribute video (has spoilers of his most recent games) Editing and sound are both a bit crappy, but well, it fits with it being a Shine tribute Also one of the Bisu games had no sound on the VOD.
