Q: Your thoughts on winning the first match. ▲ Aztec is heavily favored for P, so I coudnt lose, so I felt a lot of pressure. Todays victory gave me a lot of confidence.
Q: You met the champion of last season, Flash. ▲ I dont know why I always play poorly against top players, so I have been thinking about ways to correct this. This time I'd rather reduce the gap to them than become champion, so it doesnt bother me if I meet them.
Q: Your strategy was very good. ▲ My teammates helped me alot, this is my ace strategy for Aztec against T, so I will only use when facing a very good T. This strategy really fits my style. I got an advantage in the early game, so I was very confident, but during the standoff my army couldnt actually destroy his goliaths, so I felt very pressured.
Q: Your thoughts and goals for this season. ▲ I played very good recently so I got my confidence back. Beating such an strong opponent gave me even more confidence. Surely getting better results than last season is important, but I really want to show that I'm a outstanding player.
Q: Tommorow is the MSL group selection. ▲ Dancing is very difficult for me, so I'll try to not spoil the atmosphere. I eagerly await Sea's imitation of Won Bin (T/N: thanks to Ryo). I normally don't like to watch movies, but I already saw The Man from Nowhere twice. I think he's going to cut his hair, I'll look forward to it.
Final Words? ▲ I want to thank all my teammates that helped me practice, during his break sae also helped me practice, I want to thank him especially.

![[image loading]](http://imgnews.naver.com/image/236/2010/12/08/1291809064_1.jpg)
Q: You are very happy winning the first match. ▲ My next two opponents are very strong, so today was a must-win. Starting the Ro16 with good momentum makes me have an edge against my opponent, I'm lucky I won today.
Q: Your thoughts about the match. ▲ I knew what my opponent was going to do, so I was in no danger. I also got lucky with my overlord scouting.
Q: How far can you make it this season? ▲ As a pro your goal has to be becoming champion, otherwise there would be no point, right?
Q: You won the MSL before, but lost quite a bit of momentum. ▲ 2010 was almost rock bottom for me, I hope I can use the chance of this OSL to reach new heights.
How is your practice situation? ▲ I practiced a lot with hyvaa and yCH, thanks to them I could win today.
How are you these days? ▲ I think I found my feeling back, I'm on a win streak in SPL and practicing with my teammates is really fun.

Stork
![[image loading]](http://imgnews.naver.com/image/236/2010/12/08/1291811362_1.jpg)
Q: You started the Ro16 with a win. ▲ It was just a match, my win is not something worth being very happy about, because a Protoss who can beat Flash emerged. I dont think I can be very happy.
Q: Your thoughts on Kal vs. Flash. ▲ I saw the match in the waiting room, Kal prepared very well for Flash's opening. I fell strongly that if you want to go carriers against Flash, you have to do it as decisive as Kal.
Q: What about your match against Mind? ▲ The DT drop didnt do much damage, but I never felt I'm going to lose. It's not because my opponent is Mind, it's because our team mainly practices for SPL, so I feel I practice way more than others.
Q: You regret only making it to the Top 4 last season. ▲ I was very confident back then, but I still didnt make it to the finals, I still regret that. My play is quite bad now, so my goal right now is to make it out of the group stage, hopefully then I can improve my play.
Q: Tommorow is the MSL group selection. ▲ Sea told me he will perform with his teammates together. I want that Galaxy tab, but I spoke too soon about that, now it's kinda awkward (laughs). There are 32 players at the group selection, so my chances of getting the microphone are quite slim. With my character I also wont perform anything. Except sports, I really hate moving my limbs (T/N: shamelessly stolen from CSheep ).
Q: Final words? ▲ I want to thank Grape, even if I didnt use the building that he suggested. I also have a really close hyung who is really busy preparing a play. The name is "On air live", I wish him the best of luck. I also feel that the reaction of the fans at OSL has become different. I want to thank the fans that have been cheering for me, I will repay you with good results.

Q: Your thoughts on winning your match? ▲ Fantasy played really well recently, he is also on a win streak, so I got very lucky today, I'm very happy.
Q: Your thoughts about the match. ▲ Everything unfolded along my playbook. Ending the match with mutas is nice, but lately the terrans have been strong, so just apply appropriate pressure and then go for a tech switch. I caught a hole in his play, in practice dropping lurkers sometimes worked, sometimes not. I think my muta harass went quite well, wo the drop worked wonders.
Q: Who is the strongest opponent, Hydra, Free or Fantasy? ▲ They are all very good and one of their teams ace players. I'm the worst so I wont rate these players.
Q: Your goals? ▲ I said that my goal is the Ro8. If I reach that, I'll correct my goals.
How is your practice situation? ▲ After practice for SPL I practiced in deep into the night, I had help from my teammates so I didnt have any problems. I heard Fanstasy won twice in SPL today, so I'm lucky to win.
Final words? ▲ All my terran teammates helped me practice, I want to thank Frozen, Bogus, Classic, sae and size.

Yea Flash had a bad week (losing a game to light where he looked lost on wat to do during the midgame). Also look at the maps's pvt stats though....it's nearly impossible for terran lol
|
But then again, Aztec's PvT is really close in stats to what TvZ was on Polaris Rapsody, so you can't cut flash too much slack considering the finals last year lol
|
I'm a happy person when Kal wins. No matter it's Aztec or Central Plains or anything like that.

He's talking about the imitation of Won Bin (famous Korean actor). Actually Sea said he's not playing Won Bin's character so Kal is mistaken.
Second one I think is the Chinese transliteration of "seonsoo". It just means player. I'm not sure why the Chinese translator didn't just use 选手.

thanks for the fast translations Chaosquo! I've linked this in the LR OP for a little extra exposure

The LR thread was in turmoil when the DT drop didn't do damage and Mind went for a push. But it didn't effect Stork. Just another day at the computer playing SC.

It's called Ahjuhssi. The English title is Mister/The Man from Nowhere.

The building that stork mentioned having not used it is surely fleet beacon. That map seemed pro-carriers.

no worries, its just how flash lost to stork on HBR last year
He will smash everyone else next games

Watching Stork play was really beautiful. He definitely proved why he is PvT god.

Meh, I went 2 for 2 liquibet o.e
I hope stork uses kal's triumph over flash as intense motivation to improve. I think he realizes that he can definitely improve his play a lot.
Stork hwaiting!
Anyone know his twitter id and a good korean to english translator?
Edit: never mind, just a translator

That's not even an upset compared to Fantasy vs Modesty.

wow 2 upsets in one day! I would love to see Flash get knocked out in the ro16 lol
|
I'm confused
No more Flash??? Is he eliminated?
|
Hydra is one of the aces of Hite Entus, alongside Snow and Leta. Hydra performed in a couple of ace matches, beating the likes of Free and Jaedong. In other words, I'm not sure what's with the question mark.
|
I don't care if Aztec PvT is stacked 71%!!!! Flash should ALWAYS WIN!!!!! Now even Stork admits a Protoss can beat Flash!!!
... wait a second.... 71%... HOLY SHIT THAT'S BATTLE ROYAL ZVT STATS LOL seriously big WTF here....

Hydra has played both of hite's ace matches this season and is 2-0, over free and Jaedong (even though he's 5-6 in regular games).
Thanks for the translations! I'm amused how Stork's all upset now someone finally beat Flash.

All 3 STX players are so modest. Good job, guys! I'm proud of all of you! Also, lots of thanks for translating this!
|
Tx for translation.
I think stork is forgetting that best beat flash a while ago so its not impossible. Kal is such a baller. Expect a strong showing from toss this osl.
Anyway I hope more players can rise up and give the god a good fight. Mainly want to see JD get revenge though

flash getting knocked out in the ro16 would be hilarious
the OSL could be anyones then!

cant believe stx went 3-0 today. and go Kal! loved that game

Why is Aztec so P favored, could anyone explain this to me? X_X What makes it so good PvT? or is this just a coincidence of PvT specialists coming to play here against weak TvP'ers as well as Kal's brilliant build order vs Flash?
|
Modesty was so awkward after he won, lol but GJ fantasy just wasn't on his game (and positions and etc)
Also, true statement about modesty's group, hahah every one else is an ACE. thats just the cailber of the OSL ro16.
ALSO I'm laughing at stork's jealousy He has to be up there too!
I guess Kal is just kind of lucky with the map selection hahaha. that was still a tense game.

omg yay Kal Calm Stork ^^
|
I think Flash could have won had he targeted the carriers properly instead of trying to kill off the interceptors (what he always did). He didn't have enough gollies to decimate the interceptors fast enough, and Kal was pretty high up on resources so he was quick to replenish them.
Still, a very close game given how Kal executed a perfect counter to Flash's opening. Mad props to Flash building that second bunker...
|
Wow! Amazing job Kal!!!!!!
So does this mean that FlaSh is out of the StarLeague? Wowz.

No. Flash is not out of the Starleague. There should be a mandatory reading of R&S since this is like the 10th time the question has popped up.
|
Well I'm not an expert on the subject and haven't got around to reading every piece of information on TL.net.
Anyway, thanks for the info, that's good to hear that FlaSh still has an opportunity to come back.

Again.

Good entertainment. Great job kal I didn't expect him to win like that. Horray for Stork. I love how jealous he sounded about kal's win. I can't say I've seen a lot of his games but Modersty is a lot better than whenever I last saw him play. I expected him to lose badly.
I'm really looking forward to a bit of OZ in house rivarlly on Friday.
|
Yea Stork! Flash is in a semi slump and hope it stays that way :D
|
3/4 liquibet. Fanta failed me.
But overall interesting results-
|
It's too bad the other players in Flash's group suck so it's unlikely that he'll get eliminated (Flash is gonna rape Paralyze).
|
On December 09 2010 03:58 2Pacalypse- wrote: Watching Stork play was really beautiful. He definitely proved why he is PvT god.
Hmmm i don't agree there. I mean Mind played very passively and very badly, wasting units, indecisive poor EMPs, seemingly no actual plan except to macro to some supply number then move out. Yet despite that Stork managed to even up the supply count at one point with a pointless recall into the main.
|

Curse of the OSL will be back!

Forget Flash, how the hell did Fantasy lose to Modesty? I stopped watching after Stork's game =/
Also, what time is the MSL group selection ceremony? Will it be streamed?
|
^ Position Imbalance. Great Execution by Modesty. Bad Adaptation by FantaSy.
What can I say? After watching Fanta completely deny ZerO in that ace match earlier yesterday I was so sure Modesty didn't stand a chance... T.T
|
fantasy lost because modesty found his turret hole/where the turrets were weak. flash has lost a bunch of times in the past for that exact reason. a game vs calm on hbr comes to mind.
thanks for the translation! i'm almost more excited to see a loser's interview (if there are), since fantasy/flash were such big upsets.
|
Don't know if Fantasy anticipated that many Mutas lol. That was like 2 whole groups, the announcers were screaming something about Jaedong when they broke his turret line.
Oh and found something about the MSL group selection cermony

It's times like these that I'm proud to show off my STX tag.

For once, I don't really mind STX's success. Hopefully Flash loses, I wouldn't want him to violate the unwritten Rule of Three forged long ago by OnGameNet and MBCGame.

Stork is envy of Kal's carriers, I never imagined that would ever happen.
|
go Stork!
thanks for the interview
|
Kal was looking damn strong against Flash. Map imbalance helped of course, but it really showed the spectators what Kal is capable of.
On the other hand, Fantasy v.s. Modesty was entirely due to a huge map imbalance. Modesty's strategy wouldn't have worked if the spawn locations were even slightly different. The effectiveness of Muta + slow lurker drop increased exponentially since their mains were right next to each other with a tiny gap of space in between.
Fantasy's win streak was broken! This sucks!
You anti-Fantasy fanboys out there better think twice before dissing Fantasy's TvZ. He straight up raped Zero in an ACE match on the same day. You better have a good argument.

hey does anyone remember once where kal beat flash in a very very convincing and i may say one-sided way in the first game of a ro3 before? cant really rmb when, but i think its where he produces carriers off only 1 stargate and bit by bit, and lots of good zealot drops if i recall correctly

Extremely hard to secure expansions AND to push vs P. Basically, the two playstyles you can choose between are both really bad on that map.
