According to some of my Korean friends, if your grandfather died during the Korean war then all sons and grandsons etc of that man does not have to serve. | ||

about 10 yrs ago, if u had a flat foot, bad eye sight or tattoo etc...you could not go to the military. tattoo because in korea, usually only the thugs had tattoos...some people got tattoos just so they didnt have to go to the military. now, the tattoo thing doesnt work. | ||

Since Boxer is not gonna be an officer, he starts from Private, which is Marine. He'll upgrade to Firebat, Ghost, and then Vulture when he make Sergeant. After six month of Sergeant, he can quit the army. So he doesn't have any chance to become a dropship pilot - warrant officer. | ||

Btw, there is a village close to the north / south border (don't remember if it's IN the DMZ or just outside), no one from that village has to go to the military, and nor do anyone they should marry. | ||

Moreover, many people still think it as a simple game and not as a sport, which is different from China where the Chinese government actually pay the progamers, accepting E-Sports as their 99th sports. Anyway, Boxer will serve at the military after like 3 years. | ||
