Your winner of the rematch of last season's finals is.... SKT
Kwanro: I must maintain my health
Q: You managed your first victory after being transferred to SKT. A: I'm really happy that I was able to win on my first game after being transferred. My opponent was Action, who also just transferred to KT. I more or less guessed that it would be him, so I was neither pressured nor anxious.
Q: When you initially transferred to Woongjin, your performance was lacking. A: At that time, I had just moved into the practice house, so I didn't actually have much time to practice. This time, before the match, I had already consulted with my new teammates, and I had already acclimated myself to the new practice house, so I was able to get a good start here.
Q: Compare the three teams that you've played for. A: CJ [T/N it's hite now], Woongjin, and SKT all suit me pretty well. The coaches in cj/woongjin said my dreams were too big for my skill level, but SKT likes my ambition and they're helping me to channel it. [T/N thanks Milkis for checking the original Korean on this one, I've modified a few words to keep it in first person]
Q: Your opponent's first wave of zerglings was very threatening. A: Defending 9pool zergling attacks is my specialty. (haha) I know better than anyone the mentality behind a 9pool, so I felt no pressure defending it.
Q: Your goal for this season? A: I don't really have one yet. Over the last year, I saw Flash earn 50 wins, and I thought he was definitely a player to respect. My personal goal, though, is just to keep myself healthy and maintain a good condition.
Q: Any final remarks? A: I hope that in the future I can show this type of success again to support our team.
Bisu: Goal is 30 wins; eSports scene has a bad atmosphere; need fan support
Q: Feelings on your win? A: I'm overjoyed, and I hope I can maintain my good condition.
Q: Until now, you've never beaten ForGG in a televised game. A: I already knew that, ForGG is my archenemy. (haha) However I was still very confident I would win.
Q: What would you have done if your opponent was Flash? A: I wouldn't have played the way I did. In today's game, I had a huge advantage, so I played like whatever.
Q: Your goal for this season? A: 08-09 season went very well for me, and people flattered me, but the 09-10 season ended up a disaster for me. Our team's victory of the 08-09 Proleague also made me arrogant. Once we lost to KT, I performed a heavy-hearted reflection on myself. So this season, my goal is not very high, 30 wins will satisfy me. If I can make this goal, in the future I'll raise it to 30 or 40 wins.
Q: Did the acquisition of Kwanro really help to promote your team's skill level? A: He is a progamer with personality, and that has definitely helped our practices a lot. His cooperation with his teammates is very good. He's helped out our team in every aspect.
Q: Any final remarks? A: Right now the eSports atmosphere is very strange, but I hope fans will continue to support us.
and (if you watched the ending of the match live) the moment you've all been waiting for
Best: Earning two victories, including against Flash, has really moved me
Q: You won twice in one day A: Winning twice in one day really moved me. Beating Flash also excited me greatly. On top of that, we also defeated our rivals in the telecommunications business!
Q: Your skill seems to have increased substantially. A: Compared to before, I'm playing better, and I've reduced my number of mistakes.
Q: When you reached the ACE match, did you guess your opponent would be Flash? A: Yes. If the opponent weren't Flash, I would have been even more relaxed. I prepared very extensively for the ace match.
Q: You were previously in a 4 game losing streak against Flash. A: Before, I was very confident in my PvT, but after being beaten 4 times by Flash, I lost confidence, but beating him this time has helped me rediscover my confidence. Before, I always wanted to take revenge, and this time, I was finally able to take advantage of the opportunity.
Q: You seemed to really regret not being able to play Flash in the finals last year [T/N it was announced afterward that had the match reached game 7, SKT would have sent out Best, and of course KT would have sent out Flash] A: I did feel some regrets. Even though our team lost, I still wanted to play in the ace match.
Q: How was the match against HoeJJa? [T/N TY Aesop and Cambium for pointing out that HoeJJa is left-handed, which explains the Chinese phrasing.] A: I think it was only my choice of tactics that won me the game. There wasn't really a crisis for me; the win was pretty relaxed.
Q: How much have you compensated for your PvZ? A: In the offseason, I realized many things that I hadn't understood about PvZ before, and my teammates have really been a great help.
Q: Goal for the season? A: My personal goal is 35 wins.
Q: Any final remarks? A: Not long ago was the four year anniversary of my debut and my birthday, so many fans sent me presents. I'm really thankful, so I will continue working hard to repay everyone.
Q: Your opponent's first wave of zerglings was very threatening. A: Defending 9pool zergling attacks is my specialty. (haha) I know better than anyone the mentality behind a 9pool, so I felt no pressure defending it.
SHOCKED
Q: What would you have done if your opponent was Flash? A: I wouldn't have played the way I did. In today's game, I had a huge advantage, so I played like whatever.
That explains his endless aggression and lack of micro after he gained a huge advantage...but for the sake of your fans, I hope you will micro your stuff in the future anyway...
Beastly macro display though, very Bestesque.
Waiting for the interview from the beast himself.
Thx for the translation! Glad you stepped up when all the usual translators are afk. I honestly thought Konadora would have picked this up. Ptff.

The hoejja question might be related to Hoejja being one of the few left-handed players on the circuit, and sometimes it's said that they think or play "differently" because of that.

Q: Compare the three teams that you've played for. A: CJ [T/N it's hite now], Woongjin, and SKT all suit me pretty well. Often people say I have too many thoughts [T/N different strategies?], but SKT has really supported me in this aspect, and they are certain in my play-style.
The original korean went something like how coaches in cj/woongjin said his dreams was too big for his skill level, and how he liked skt cause in skt they liked that he had ambition and wanted to channel the ambition. -_-

kk, I'll put that in, thanks. *sigh* this is why we need more people who can translate directly from Korean...
edit: still wondering how ambition got translated as 想法, which means way of thinking o_o

Come on, you can do better than that Bisu. Even Best has a higher goal.
ya youre kinda right, but the problem is that 2 proteams are gone, so the maximum number you can reach will be lower.. and best is just overconfident after tonight^^ but he played so good
Thanks for the translation, and the clarification.
Best is the new, revitalized hope for protoss - moreso than any of the tired old dragons including Bisu/Stork/Jangbi and the middling Violet/Stats/etc. Bisu's morale is good - but how is his skill?
Too bad fantasy lost - but a loss is a chance to learn about your own weaknesses and do better, isn't it?

Hopefully just what he needs.

Well there's fewer teams but approximately the same amount of games, they added a round to the season, from 5 to 6. Actually overall I bet more individual games will be played since the new format Bo7's seem to end up with more games played than the old format Bo5's.
Haven't actually seen his games yet but I think this could be Best's big season. He was actually doing really well at the start of the last season before his demoralizing 0-3 against Flash. This win just might give him the confidence to become a top contender in individual leagues.
Damn i called it that Best is gonna be sexier than ever before tha start of PL, hell yeah gogo SKT. I am very happy to see Flash go down, beacause his play style and dominance was becoming annoying. Thanks for the translation and let's hope that this season will do great and give us the entertainment!

oh, thanks for clarifying, i didnt know that! nice, more games im so glad :D

now that SKT's finally landed a competent zerg, it looks like they're the team to beat now... at least until Flash learns how to win in ace matches again.

SKT so supportive :D I'm really happy Kwanro is fitting in, I really like him and we need a zerg who brings results. And yeah for our two Protoss players Bisu and Best! Especially Best after that Flash match.
Once he realized he had the game won, he started stretching his arms during the match in a kind of "yawwwwwwwwwn, yeah I'm a fucking baller and I know it" fashion. It was ridiculously amazing to watch. And from time to time, you could see him smirk a bit And once Best started attacking, it was never even close; Best THRASHED Flash.
lol, yeah I was really happy for BeSt, he looked really excited. He deserved the win and I was totally chuckling when he was stretching for his little ceremony.
Taking 2 wins, one of them being the Ultimate Weapon is really great. ACE match too. Awesome, awesome.
I'm glad Bisu conceded he was a bit casual with his battles. I thought he was particularly slack at times with his Arbiters - he lost more than he should have IMO.
Glad he's been reflecting in the off-season, and I hope the 30 wins comment is just an attempt to keep expectations down while deep down he's aiming for 40+.
BeSt has just continued on from where he left off last season, and if he can sort out his PvZ he could be very scary. People are quick to call him a one trick pony, but if your one trick is very, very hard to stop, then I don't see what the prob is.
P.S. Rushing a rusher probably wasn't Action's greatest strategy ever.
Best's PvZ has been not too bad. He actually didn't lose any corsairs until HoeJJa decided to think he's Jaedong and turtle on 2 bases while BeSt was killing his main. If only Bisu would stop running archons into sieged tank lines now...

He wants to be the very best. Like no one ever was.
Thanks for the translation ! SKT looks stronger with Kwanro, but Woongjin with Really, CJ with Leta and KT with Action look very powerful too. And STX can be dangerous as well. 10-11 PL will be interesting for sure. If only Stork/JangBi/great could perform, we would have 6 nice teams !

Oh, I definitely plan to watch the game once i've finished my exams! Thanks for the spoiler, BeSt is pimpin'! I still remember his revenge ceremony against go.go like two years ago, that was pretty baller too!
