Players can't make something out of nothing, if the game doesn't allow anything special to be done then it can't be done. Jaedong didn't do anything in BW that we didn't even know about, the huge mechanical skill level required by BW just means his play was impressive solely because of that, and this isn't even true for SC2. I dunno why people are acting like Boxer/Nada/JD etc etc are going to pull something amazing out of their ass that makes the game actually interesting. We aren't going back to the dark days of RTS, SC2 is and will be furthered figured out extremely quickly. I'm sure the BW players will be much more refined play but these days they are not just going to invent stuff out of nothing. | ||

Wanna see that! I agree that having pro bw players play sc 2, while interesting doesn't make the game more watchable. But it is inevitable that the scene will transition to sc 2 eventually so I guess we'll adapt. | ||

Which is obviously not the case at the moment. He will only switch when sc2 is more popular than BW. If sc2 fails do you think he will still switch in a year?  ((.I like SC2 but i don't really want them to leave SC1.SC2 is kind of easier since you can control big amount of units at once and has many new things.Especially cause zergs can now make creep where ever they want and have 6 larvas at a hatchery so no wonder they want to switch....Let's not mention terran making twice a unit from 1 barracks at a time.I haven't tried protoss yet in Sc2 so i can't comment  .But the point is Sc2 is easier and is overpowered.Sc1 is harder and requieres more skill that's why i love it. | ||
