However, I believe I'm using plenty of other plays as well. This is honestly one of the biggest issues that hurt me.

I know it can get repetitive but I personally appreciated this interview more than the usual post-game interviews because he revealed a bit more tidbits I never knew before about his past (in terms of transferring) or how he felt about the criticism he receives for his gameplay. You can say it's too politically correct and too manner and you'd be right in saying it - but that's just the culture of interviewing in general so there's not much that can be done about that but to appreciate the gems that sift out of some interviews.***

And this is why the BW is and will always be the best game ever. When you have a player like Flash saying his skills are lacking, you must realize how demanding this game really is.

Makes me like both of these gamers even more. I think Violet seems like a really fun guy. From his ceremony in PL to his interviews he seems like a relaxed and cool dude.
Love this interview. Flash mentioning looking forward to Reach, Yellow returning, his respect for Jaedong and his disappointment at not getting to stay with the older players of WeMade are all 'awww' moments for me. Also nice to see him include Leta as one of his two 'picks' for terran players. Proof that Leta has skills, for me.

This is more interesting than literally about 90% of the interviews with Koreans. Yeah, we got the usual modesty stuff, but we also got tidbits we didn't know about being forced out of Pantech, Zero and Violet, defending his varying style, his hotkeys, his opinion of the two best of every race, and a bunch of lol bonus questions.

It seems that if he wins this finals he will be the greatest BW player ever, period - unless someone else has a meteoric rise and completely destroys everyone in whatever time BW has left. There have been more accomplished players, but he's probably the most skilled out of anyone ever to exist on this world. Interesting that he never played a single game of SC2; guess they really have no free time at all, or spend all of it practicing. I can't imagine living like this, I'd burn out so quickly.

Hello, welcome to the broodwar forums. (Im guessing you are new anyway for bumping this thread.) Basically, you will learn that the Koreans pros are almost always very very polite and courteous in thier interviews, so Flash saying the he thinks his is lacking in skills is kind of fluff tbh. My favourite example of this is his answer to question eight.

Some of it is politeness, but I think Flash is also serious. Not when he says he was just lucky, but when he says he wants to improve. He doesn't not become complacent with his achievements easily, and this is why his reign has lasted so long. He wins a golden mouse and the only thing on his mind is 'how do I become the first to win a 4th OSL title?' 'How do I keep my style from being figured out by other players? How do I continue to dominate?'
When Bisu says he is trying his best all the time, sometimes I don't believe him. On the other hand, I believe Flash when he says he wants to be better. Sometimes Bisu looks unfocused, his face is so easy to read and he often loses when he's not looking focused (at least when it's not vZ). Flash on the other hand pretty much always looks focused, and even disappointed when his opponent is too easy. He will put his might into the match anyway, but you can tell he wants someone worthy of his efforts. That's why he chases players like Jaedong.
