I have been wanting to do a massive guide about MySC for a while, and finally managed to do it. Is still work in progress, so any feedback is welcome!

About saving
You can only save the game after the end of a season. You also need to create a folder (if you don't have it already) called "save" (not Save, it's case sensitive) next to the img folder.
Images still missing?
After you have change the non-unicode programs language to korean, you need to re-extract the game in order to see the correct folder names. This should fix the missing image issue.
If you see this:

If you don't have the original XP CD, you can try rebuilding it.
And from there, use this guide to install East Asian Language support in XP.
How do you use items?
If you are running 1.27.03 you need to press TAB when you are in the screen where you select the players to send in the maps. In 1.26.02 (and versions before 1.27) you have a screen after selecting the players for the maps where you can click on the players and then click on the items to "equip" the items.

Yes, you need to create a save folder next to the image folder. I forgot about that detail :z

If the player that I'm trying to train has a near 1000 attack or defense I just use the star necklace, seeing as it won't go any further. Or I just use the cool sunglasses, they're cheaper  .

It maxes at 1100. You can't go any further than that. 1000 is the flat rate without items, you need items to reach 1100.
I don't know why conditions go over 100%, I guess there is a 'positive mindset' and a 'negative mindset' mechanic (when your players have their condition decreased for one game).
Also does anyone find the game to be rigged so that you cannot get a perfect regular season? I just played Winners League, and got 3-killed by a B Kwanro when I had a SS Skyhigh, SSS Effort and an A+ Jaedong.

I have achieved 2 perfect seasons so far, sometimes i just lose to some random player (specially in winners league). Kind off like your example GTR.
I guess winners league is just too volatile.

Yeah, I did. Ahh, I got it. I extracted it before I swapped non-unicode settings and it extracted with wrong names. Extracted once more afterwards and it works fine.

You can get past 1100 with items. For example, Ring of Power + K-Silver + 1000 defense will give you 1210 on defense.
You're right about the conditions. There is a "Positive mindset" (marked with a green exclamation point) and a "Negative Mindset" (marked by "coils") over the players.
And no, I've had perfect regular seasons, winners league and non winners league. There's many things that could explain why Kwanro destroyed your team -- map, items, and condition.
I'll be willing to help translate (after this month) any portion of the game, even including the ingame commentary although i do agree it's quite useless

Seems like a bug, there should by a "Buy" button under "Pur price".
Try re-downloading the game or using another version

Great guide, in all the versions I've played WeMade FOX and never been sure as to exacly what i should do and therefore i've never done well (includes two seasons in a row without a single proleague win).
I started up a new game with WeMade FOX and followed the guide closely, Went 22-0 in the Proleague and beat Woongjin Stars easily 4:0 in the finals, RorO also managed to take the Starleague.
Here's hoping I can make WeMade FOX unstoppable thanks to it.

your condition may be too low. once you get below 90% the game won't let you use any more potions on the player. probably to prevent instant rainbow magic, turning F players straight into SSS

Not it doesnt  mine is "Save" and its working fine. Im playing the last translated version, not sure about the latest one (still korean only) but at least for the one Im playing Save works just fine.

are you using the newest version? this was an error that was quite apparant on ver 1.27.02
the newest is ver 1.27.03 which fixes this and the trading problem.

1. Hex editet one player's name with idra's name.
2. Made that idra pic 100x100
3. Replaced that players picture with idra's picture

In an attempt to contribute, I was wondering: How likely is it that defense is also affected by shorter rush distances (similar to attack)? It seems as though the octagon was designed to be read in pairs. It might be obvious, but I just felt like pointing it out b/c i didn't read this concept anywhere in the guide.

This game is awful.
I had a full condition Bisu/Fantasy/Best losing to their decent matchups (i.e. not Best v Z) again C/D players. It wasn't even isolated, and they didn't have the sniper item.

Seems like the game just stopped for me =/ Made it to 2014 S3 during that i had 8 SSS players.
I lost every single game in PL Lost to D- players aswell.
Only one of my players made it past RO32 in SL.
Now all my players are C- - B
Was fun game tho.

also, the peak for stats isn't at 1100 (you can break this through >100% condition) and i'm just wondering, how strongly do you think they're matchup specialization affects the game? Like Bisu's vZ and stuff

their stats affect the matchups - it's not built in to the players
certain matchups favor certain stats. i think there's a list somewhere in the OP

What? I got my SS Jaedong beat by a player ranked D+ with 50:50 odds for the MU...
and he didn't have the snipe item either...

There is a new version being translated (1.27.04 I think) with some battle text being translated. I haven't updated the OP because the new version doesn't really add many things.

Awesome game
Only at season 6 with stx soul, managed to win 3 pl (other 3 lost to Wemade fox in the finals )
Also managed to trade for midas and kwanro who are beasting in the game.. Shuttle and hwasin have improved a lot too. Midas has won 3 mysls and calm one..
All in all a very addictive and fun game I basically have 6 rotating a team players while the rest I just use to compile points for fan meetings and cash
