The following contains spoilers from yesterday's MBC vs eSTRO game, as well as some thoughts by the player on the recent betting scandal. Translating this only because it contains some thoughts (very little) on the recent betting scandal.
+ Show Spoiler +Sea[Shield]![[image loading]](http://img.dailygame.co.kr/news/201004/attachments/20100412_e180e37b3183058eddb779c04e7671d8.jpg) "Please protect ESPORTS."Q: You won two games today. A: We always dragged it out to the ace match whenever we played against eSTRO, so I expected myself to be sent out in the ace match. Did not expect to sent out for the 4th set though. Q: Did you expect a Zerg to be sent out on Grand Line? A: I think the coach didn't want me to play against Really, hence sending me out only at the fourth set. I expected a Terran or a Zerg to be sent. eSTRO had yet to send out Hyvaa so I was expecting him. Q: You played on a new map. A: Grand Line focuses more on control over the center of the map as compared to Polaris Rhapsody. I think it's a well balanced map. Q: You managed to dodge Really until the ace match. Did you expect him to play in the ace match? A: I actually expected a Zerg. But after finding out it was Really I was playing against, I decided to end my losing streak against him and played my very best. Q: Do you expect good results in Round 4 and 5? A: All the while there was never a time where both Light and I played well, but this time we are. Hence we expect our team to do well. Keep a look out for us! Q: After the finals, there wasn't much time to rest. Do you feel bad about it? A: This nuna (older sister) I know is having a birthday and it's hard to even schedule a time to celebrate with her. The idea that as a progamer, I really don't have that much (free) time came into realization. But our team is doing well right now so it's ok. Susie nuna ( lilsusie@teamliquid), happy birthday! Q: Any final words? A: Something nasty has happened recently. It's just a rumor, but many progamers whom I believe won't commit such crimes are being named. I am disappointed that so many people are blinded by prejudice; that they are ignoring all the hard work the older progamers have put into making ESPORTS what it is today and is bashing upon ESPORTS as a whole, just because of a handful of people. There are countless other progamers who have worked hard and are still putting in a lot of effort, so I hope they (spectators) continue to watch over us. And I strongly appeal to everyone to continue their support and interest in ESPORTS.

thanks for the interview, I think sea is approaching the whole gambling incident in a very good way.
|
I love how ESPORTS is always in all caps. I approve. Nice interview, thanks for translating, and cute that he talks like an entire paragraph about susie
|
Sea is the man. Love both his shoutout to Susie and his sensible statement about the scandal.
|
Wow I <3 Sea. Both defending E-Sports and caring about Susie's bday... He's a classy guy.
|
I may yet become a Sea fan. I was always tempted to root against him because of FS, but...
Also nice job with the translation!

Sea is one individual league title short of becoming an e-sports superstar. He's been getting more and more popular in Korea these days after the Hyungjun show. I really hope he wins a title this season because he more than deserves it.

Sea is the best and the most mannered Progamer i ever know
|
This interview=+100 respect for Sea. What a baller...
|
Wise words from Sea there.my respect for him just went through the roof.

Good response to the news of the scandal. Everyone is overreacting, probably because of a sense of betrayal, but still, people are jumping to conclusions about "oh this guy is slumping, he's throwing his games on purpose obv." That shouldn't be the conclusions we jump to when we're waiting for news on this incident. eSports fans have a tendency to blow things out of proportion immediately after an event, case in point, the LR threads last night were full of people going crazy over some losses, + Show Spoiler [CJ vs hite] +, and you can look in the past and see the same phenomenon. I expect this stuff to mostly blow over soon enough.

I gained respect for Sea as a person, an addition to his sc's skills.
|
Goddamn it, Sea! I knew that I love you for a reason!
Win the MSL, kkk?
Edit: Sea is currently hitting his ELO peak.

Thanks for the translation! Sea is awesome for talking about the scandals (and I believe no one dares to include him in the match-fixers) and for giving congrats to Susie!

One of the very few progamers I'll never lose my trust into. It's hard to cheer for someone when times are this dark, but Yum Bo Sung is definitely your guy to cheer on. <3

Thanks for some juicy FPL points Sea! =)
|
sea is awesome and all, but after watching him shake his ass to shark on hyungjoon show....... its hard to look at him without feeling a little disturbed on the inside

Welcome to the real world; every other sport gets to deal with this crap, now it's your turn.
Agreed that it was a good response though. Do progamers in Korea get some kind of media training if they're going to play a lot of stage matches?
|
Ah sweet, thanks Kona
Sea's great for putting that into perspective. The list of names is huge on the other thread, but we all should hunker down and wait for it to blow over.

I recall they just had behavior education course mandatory attendance for all pro-gamers. Maybe, it was related to media presentation?
