I wasn't around to watch the Pro scene when SaviOr was the king, but through my year+ of lurking/joining teamliquid, I've gone through a lot of his stuff--the TLFEs, many of his old VODs, etc. SaviOr, you will be missed.

People get really excited about Boxer as well. He was a super-badass and a very cunning, exciting player and figure. But sAviOr is the guy I will always think about when I think of BW. He showed me that the game isn't just an arena where you awe the spectators with your brilliance, it's a canvas where you can create a work of art. Laugh all you want, but you must watch this man's games.

I popped my head into the scene at the decline of his career, which is unfortunate because I missed out on the big chunk of his dominance, but he was the first professional "sports" figure that I actually rooted for, and felt myself despondent about at his each (increasing) failure. I remember the article that was translated about him, the one talking about egonomy, that gave me the impression that he was far more aware of his standing in life than many other gamers, and it's pretty obvious that's what's biting him now -- the fact that he knows gaming won't last forever for him. And it's become increasingly clear over the past few interviews with him that he's got one step out of the scene, even if it's still turned back toward the gaming scene. I wonder if it's for the better for him to just take that other foot and walk out entirely, and move on with his life. Either way, best wishes Savior o/
