I work as a teacher mainly so that was my income to support my work in eSports. If it's any consolation I will be covering MSL selection night on Thursday evening. I won't be doing OSL though (;_;) because it clashes with a concert I've aleady booked tickets to ages ago.

The sponsors care only about the Korean audience numbers, but once thing to note is that the viewer counts on TL restreams have declined dramatically since the SC2 beta comes out. Although the tastes of our community don't necessarily reflect the tastes of the Korean audience (especially the fangirls), I do think it's a sign of things to come.
StarCraft II will indeed kill StarCraft 1 outside of Korea, but hopefully and probably, StarCraft 1 will survive for a while in Korea.

I am not familiar with MSL history, but does this "Group ceremony to go ahead without a sponsor" thing occur often? It occurred last season too with Nate MSL.

You take that back! Gom was an amazing league, with a much better format, and English casters on top of that. The two instances it was run produced some great games. The only problem with it was the power struggle with the established esports industry and kespa, which led to its demise.

i didn't manage to write the choices down but i remember hiya dressing up like osama bin laden with an AK47 and choosing flash.
and baby chose hwasin..

The problem with making such a thread is that its so confusing to update + you need translators to keep updating it all the time.
