But really, some critic has to be allowed whiteout 1000 fan boys jumping on whoever criticizes something. Often there is street noise or music at the place you are making the interview, this makes the whole thing hard to listen to or at least not very enjoyable. Sometimes also people aren't loud enough... Various small problems. The content is almost always very interesting, but I don't really get why it is so hard to actually sit down at a quiet place and do these interviews? I mean, a recorded Team speak session has better sound quality, less background noise on cost of the *picture* which I couldn't care less about when it's a *pure* interview with no content that actually needs visual representation. The SCFORALL page also has it's... personality. Most of the time it's good for me but sometimes I would have to load for longer than the Vid itself actually is... Not even speaking about the *warnings* I get from the site when I use Chrome.

It's a shame that the connections from China aren't better and this can't be a real world wide tournament, but because of that not allowing people from China to play, if they actually take the effort to leave the Country and follow all the rules, would be beyond retarded. I smell fear.

Well they probably don't either. I would imagine they don't lag with each other. I am sure the Chinese scene would be much more open to us if we wouldn't lag the shit out of there games, not to mention (I think) they play face to face in their Chinese starleagues as well assuming they still do them. So they would have to fly us all the way there assuming a foreigner makes the league by playing online. We banned the Chinese because their lag interferes with game quality, not out of some stupid spite. If they are willing to fly somewhere to play their games in a lag free environment then that is great. I am happy our leagues can inspire that level of dedication where someone is willing to change where he lives for 2-3 months just to play in our league on the CHANCE that he makes money off it. Plus they invite foreigners to their events and pay for it just as Ash said, which is pretty nice.

Wow, this post is fucking stupid on so many levels. They shunned the international players they invited to their tournaments? Hey China, thanks for inviting me to your country and allowing me to play in multiple tournaments and treating me with amazing hospitality even despite my early ungratefulness. I've never once invited you to a tournament in Canada, but hey, you know how it is. We don't have any and haven't done as much for the game as Starcraft as you have... so.. fuck you! I think that last sentence makes sense. Are there lag issues? Yes. That and a language issue that people seem to forget. They have played and invited players to numerous tournaments throughout the years and have been a part of the community. They have done things for Starcraft, the game itself. The thing that separates it for the most part is language. Language and lag. Just because they don't post on TL doesn't mean they aren't part of the community. The game is the community, and they play the game and have hosted grand tournaments for it. This 'us' and 'them' mentality is sickening.

"us" and "them". Whatever. Oh wait so, you played at IEF 2009 in China, but come here talking shit about the chinese now? What the hell is that, seriously. IEF pays money to fly in people to play Starcraft Ret's comment about the chinese was the dumbest stuff ever. Yeah because the FOREIGNER scene per definition is like every single friggin' country in the entire world besides Korea and China? Ridiculous. How much do russians or poles for instance participate in the foreign community besides tournaments? Every single semi-inactive/active foreigner participates in TSL 2.

It just ends up being a debate about what TSL is really is, for me teamliquid, and TSL stands for the foreign 'community'. The community that has never had big tournaments (the last year has actually been quite good). A chance for the players to finally play for a 'real prize' against each other. A reward for the years of hard work everyone put in simply because they LOVE the game. The community that has always been in a dark corner of the world ever since warcraft 3 came out because the only thing we had was WCG. And a lot of countries didn't even have that. China has a pro-scene. China has MAJOR tournaments all year long. Chinese players make good money off SC. Part of what makes a community is that among foreigners, everyone knows each other, we meet each other all the time in different tournaments, play online, all that stuff. We've all bitched to each other about how there should be more tournaments and asked each other ' is playing this game really worth it?' as we watched war3 pros rack in thausands of $. Chinese have never participated in the day to day routines of 'foreign' bw. F91 playing in liqubition.. He did that for money. And caused a shitload of lag problems for the players he had to face. Is that really an arguement as to why he's part of the 'foreign' community? They played (lagged) up a few clanwars with Fnatic for a couple of months BECAUSE fnatic paid them a big fat salary that ended up being fnatic sc's downfall. For me the only reason that having anyone besides people that are from the 'foreign community' that most us know and love ( ok, maybe not love) is that the TSL is sponsored by a big company now that wants to see a return on their investment. I had not taken PGL into consideration, because I wasn't playing when it happend and never really gotten any word of it. But that does change things in favor of having Chinese players. slightly. I have nothing against Chinese players, I know they are good people. But that's just my opinion.
