Notes:Isn't this event a bit boring? There are no ceremonies, no costumes, the trash talk is lame according to those translating in TL IRC and the draft itself is confusing. All in all it's kind of balls. Sorry I've not taken that many photos this time. My back is really hurting so I've had to stop for now. I will try and take a few more at the end and add them to this post. The rest are behind the spoiler. The opening photos are really dark because there was literally no lighting on that area of the studio. FAIL. I actually like the darkness to these... Makes everyone look so badass
Although I will agree that the selection was very boring compared to the MSL one, just lacked excitement all around.

Great shots. You worked with the low light well. They turned out very intense and moody.
Also...the shots of the booth girl are very much appreciated. (;
BTW, what is that weird lens flare in the last shot of Fantasy?

No, during the events none of us journalists are allowed to use flash because it would interrupt the broadcasting and might cause problems for the players/camera crew. The only time we can use flash is after the events have finished during photo shoots.
I own an external flash for my Canon, but I'm yet to test it out properly during a photo shoot. Basically, we just have to work around these issues. The lighting at OGN is usually fine, but tonight's set up was very difficult to photograph for everyone because of the weird signing the camera element and the way the 'walk way' was set up.

I like her better. I never liked un-ae after the osl games with fantasy. Her crazy eyes were just really weird. I didn't like her.

My first advice to you is to decide what your primary reason for buying a DSLR is. Do you want to shoot music events or family trips? Are you wanting to do landscape photography or primarily work with people/animals. These will help you determine how much money you should put into your camera. If it's only needed for casual photography then you can go as low as a few hundred dollars for a low-end DSLR or a high-end point and shoot. However, if you're more interested in producing high-quality photographs then you'll need to invest more cash.
Photography is definitely a hobby/job where you get what you pay for.
