Kwanro was great, it was like:
A top zerg (EffOrt) A zerg who could randomly win anything (Kwanro) A zerg who always threatens to come back but stays decent (sAviOr) Alot of young zergs with potential (Orion, Hydra, Devil, Miso)
ok he might get more matches but is it a good trade-off with having worse practice partners and it was not like he was a scrub on cj and didnt get any televised matches.

Either they got a shitload of money from Woongjin(which I doubt) or they have some kind of blind faith in some of their new zergs or just in Savior's resurrection.
CJ's lineup is still very strong(sKyHigh, Iris, Movie, Effort), and this gives them more reasons to send Savior out there in hopes of his revival.
Unexpected move, and if this was just for some few bucks, then they just became a little bit less contenders for this upcoming PL.

woah this is so amazing! after the retirement of ggplay they needed another zerg and i expected them to get one. but i really wouldn't have expected someone of this caliber.

No it doesn't. This just balances the PL even more in favor of SKT1 among contenders. For Woongjin it just gives the chance to meddle with the mediocre teams that aim at a PO spot.
The biggest obstacles in SKT1's way for a back to back PL title were CJ and Jaedong. Now their main obstacles are Jaedong and a weakened CJ. That is not balance. That is giving the main contender an easier way.

And woongjins chances for this year skyrocket. Now all they need is a decent Terran. They got Daezang back. Now they have 4 decent players in Free Guemchi Zero and Kwanro.
This is good news for Kwanro and Stars, they needed another Zerg, but still need another Terran for their lineups.
On a related note, how will this affect lineup appearances, and Fantasy Proleague, now that Kwanro is going to take matches away from Zero, in turn could make Guemchi a better anti-team pick.
Wow. That's a surprise. I'm still not convinced Kwanro can be consistent enough, but it's still good news for the Stars. I don't think it will affect CJ too much.
This may affect my FantasyPL team if Kwanro helps Woongjin win more matches...

This is a sign that CJ thinks Devil/Hydra/MIsO are all very close to contributing heavily in proleague. Hydra got some pretty rave reviews from FBH recently, who played him in both preliminaries, Devil was damn close to qualifying for the MST before KeSPA stepped in, and MisO was a game away from an MST appearance as well. It should be interesting to see which one fills the gap as CJ's 2nd Zerg.
Don't know why CJ would do this =/ I wasn't the biggest Kwanro fan, but Kwanroll is just too awesome to give up. Maybe they did this because Kwanro eliminated Iris in some kind of league that will not be named because it never happened. Hopefully Savior picks up the slack and Devil, and Hydra start raping. An Oversky return would be nice as well.
Oh man I'm gonna miss Kwanro...I wasn't a fan of him at first, but then he sort of just grew on me, with the way he randomly wins games. I hope this means more MJY time

I'm a bit mystified by this as well. Kwanro will see more play on Woongjin, and if he wanted it that badly, then sure, I guess, though CJ's depth seems to have taken a beating lately. Their Protoss lineup sans-Much looks flimsier (Movie is good but inconsistent, Snow hasn't proven he can deliver yet, nbs is consistent(ly terrible). Their Zerg lineup is still stacked, and the prospects promising, but trading Kwanro off just as his play finally evolved to the level CJ must have wanted it to reach seems bizarre.
Though, remember the talk about CJ looking to make a big acquisition during Free Agency? Perhaps they've freed up some cash toward hiring another really big gun.
How does this work in terms of a player's contract and salary? If two teams and the player agree are they free to just transfer the contract from one team to another? Did Woongjin have to give CJ anything?
Seems like a bad trade for CJ, but a good one for Stars. Dunno why they would trade away their second best zerg when the only other zergs besides Effort who are somewhat decent are relatively new players, but I guess they might have shown great progress during in-house training. Hopefully Oversky will get to play more because of it, but that's probably as likely as Savior getting a shot.

while i'm excited for these three guys, i'm sad that Kwanro is leaving. it seemed he finally started getting over his nerves and was beginning to do well under TV pressure. oh well. i will miss you, rat zerg.

For woongjin's sake let's hope kwanro does better on his new team than most players do when they transfer to a new team. Forgg, luxury, and even ggplay (when he went back to stars from cj) all slumped pretty bad on a new team.

No. The Korean age thing goes one year ahead, not behind, occidental standards, and it has nothing to do with calendar year date, but just age counting.

Isn't it more likely that he just forgot what year it was? He thought it was 2007, and he meant that he was going to destroy everyone TWO YEARS FROM NOW.

They were doing bad before they transfered, and further more GGPlay was injured and couldnt practice as much.
This move should improve Zero's play, maybe help him with his consistency. Kwanro adds a level of comfort for Zero because now Zero does not have to have the stress of being the team's zerg player that always has to win.
