2) OGN Starleague Offline Qualifiers set for 30th September
Not much to say except OGN will be finding a sponsor in the next couple of weeks and subsequently will announce it. Will start at 10am and go on until 9pm.
3) Proleague 09-10 Opening Day Set to 10th October
Not much on this also except KeSPA has set their sights on opening the new season on Saturday 10th October.
Also I am currently in Busan and will be going to Seoul on Wednesday and leaving the following week. So I am planning on going to this. Any other TLers thinking about going? I imagine I need to be there an easy 4 hours prior to get a good seat.
As many of my favourite players are now retired (#1 Nal_rA fan), this tournament has the best mix of players I could hope for, with the exception of NaDa sitting out and a couple of players I don't care about sitting in.
Seriously looking forward to this tournament. Although Iris is not my favourite player on the list, i'd really like to see him win something somewhat major, nobody deserves a win more than him.
I'm kinda disappointed by baby being chosen over Nada, but nether the less its a pretty good lineup for the all stars, I'm really glad that Sea got chosen over light or one of the no names on MBC (although Pussan would have been nice), I always have a place in my heart for Sea, so here's to hoping that he takes a few games.
WeMade sends Baby instead of Mind or NaDa to an all-star game? Interesting. I'm just as disappointed by STX's decision of going with Calm instead of Kal, but that is at least somewhat reasonable.

9 man teams (18 total players) means an old-style Best of 7 with 2 2v2 games and 5 1v1s, I think. After all, it is the Proleague all-star event, not the Heritage League.

Well yellow ended up beating jaedong on the polls so that threw me off a bit (no lomo as jd had to be sent as a pick) and savior ended up winning a poll spot for zerg so he got in WITH iris - other than that, wemade sent baby instead of nada(?!), hite sent leta instead of my prediction of fakeyellow (probably a good choice on their part), and samsung sent out great instead of FBH(?? wot)

Wanted firebathero to get nominated for Samsung. firebathero vs sAviOr is still an epic rivalry, in my opinon. One of the matches HAS to be fantasy vs Jaedong. BoxeR vs BaBy/BoxeR vs YellOw will be pretty cool. BoxeR vs BaBy will be the oldest player vs the youngest player. BoxeR vs YellOw needs no explanation. Leta vs Luxury will be pretty cool. Think they need to play an epic match since their meeting in the Lost Saga MSL. sAviOr vs Sea, seems like the two played each other often, but wasn't as hyped as other games. great vs free[gm]; think it'll be their first game since great proxy hatcheried free[gm] on Medusa. Iris vs Calm, this would've been the REAL MSL finals... Bisu vs Stork, yay!
It looks like the teams sent out players they thought they were going to win -> hence the Great>Jangbi and the Baby>Nada (who is, btw, always an all-star). But it doesn't really explain Free>Zero.
I really like the picks, even though Light and Mind deserves it more than Sea and Baby, but it'll be interesting to see how Baby plays, and Sea is a TL favorite. Iris over Effort is just bad.
How is Iris over effort bad? Please explain. I wish free and zero got to play. They are both the fighting pride of woonjin, too bad they decided to both suck at the same time during r5 costing them a playoff berth.

BaBy, hmmm, interresting. His games in GOM weren't that bad. I kinda understand why no NaDa, since he shows like no interest in SC ATM, so it would be weird if WeMade forced him. But then why no Mind?

3v3??!? What is that second one, team melee?? No idea, but damn this is event is looking to be really awesome and epic. Rematch of SKT Coach vs Oz Coach haha, team SKT has a lot more star power to it.
My bet is that Nada will be in the Special Match, or a coach battle? Roflmao that would be hilarious.
I think relay war is like they set the game mode as Team Melee, but only one person plays at a time, and the players rotate who plays every x minutes or so. They do that on a show on OGN or MBC Game, not sure.
Sets 1 and 2 look really bad to me. There are too many Terrans in that 3v3, and they could have used the same players for multiple good, watchable 2v2 games instead. Sets 3-5 were hand-picked very well, though.
I wouldn't bet on Lim-Jin Rok for the "S" set, p4NDemik. Given the map, I'd wager...

its a special match, mostly for entertainment purpose rather than competitive (although they will be trying hard to win) so I'm thinking not much cheese from them. If it's boxer, that might be another story >-<
I think Iris deserves to be there, but EffOrt would have been a great addition to this tournament, too, but no one voted for him. And Hyuk was 4th in zerg voting right? How the fuck does that happen.
And BaBy? My only conclusion is that NaDa must have turned this down...
great getting in over JangBi was a moderate shock for me, but great played pretty well in the SPL, so good for him.
The fact that Jaedong had to be nominated is a joke. Look, I like YellOw, and, to a far lesser extent, sAviOr, but we already had an e-Stars tournament. Neither of these players have accomplished anything significant in years, and it just feels like a 2 slots have just gone to waste for a lovable loser and the original zerg bonjwa. Besides, if you're going to give away slots high-profile zergs from yesteryear, where is July?
Ah, well. As long as Stork and Calm are in it, I will be watching.
