How to register for KeSPA official site and vote for the players in 12(13) EASY steps. (Most of it's in English anyway): 1. Go to www.e-sports.or.kr 2. At the top middle, click "Join" 3. Click "Foreigner: Overseas", tick the box on the bottom and click "proceed to the next stage" 4. Fill out the information (It's in English. Don't tick the last box unless you want KeSPA to spam your mail) 5. Click OK then OK again when the popup comes up. 6. Hit OK again (Don't tick) and OK on the popup. 7. You'll be redirected to the main page. Click login at top middle and Log in. 8. Go to http://www.e-sports.or.kr/event/0809AllStarEvt.kea 9. You'll see a HUGE banner. On the left there are four tabs. Click on the 2nd one. 10. You'll see a bunch of terran players' pictures. Tick two. 11. Then click Zerg. Tick two. Protoss. Tick two. 12. At the bottom, click on the left orange button. It should say your name on the popup (See Note). If it does, you've done it! if not, log in again and try again. The blue button on the right shows you the results so far! GO TL RIG THE VOTES NOW! 13. Go afk for 24 hours and vote again!

Which has more priority, team picks or top 2 of races? (eg: If jaedong is picked as top 2 Zerg, and hwaseung pick him, do the next 2 top Zerg voted go or the next hwaseung pick?

Terran is rather undecided and 2nd for toss is up for grabs i guess, but stork will get it since hes the prince of silver. King of silver will probably maintain his position and jaedong will be voted definitely. Surprised shine has no vote and great has quite a few. Stork will probably get recommended even if he isn't voted, but START VOTING FOR STORK GUYS!!! Then jangbi will be sent out for khan most likely.

I voted for players out of skill and how much I like them. No point in having an all star game with oldschool players that aren't performing anymore. Well these are who I voted for anyway.
Terran: Flash - Love the kid. Most mechanically talented Terran player of all times. Fantasy - My favorite terran in terms of playstyle. Super harassment!
Zerg: Jaedong - Obviously. He's the best player in the world and the #1 in terms of competetive spirit and attitude. Zero - I was gonna choose Effort here for his skill but I really don't like his personality and Zero has been playing some entertaining games lately.
Protoss: Bisu - Obviously the most talented Protoss of all time. Sick multitasking. Stork - Seems to be coming back into shape. His recent games have really impressed me. I hope he can get back to his former kickass self.

It's nice to see old stars play, and it's good to see new stars play, but it's terrible to see them playing each other. Don't force Boxer to go through the humiliation of being slaughtered by Stork, Jaedong, Flash, Fantasy, and Bisu.
Looks like yellow's getting some competition from savior! Honestly it's a real shame to see either of them lose the vote; they both have amazing star power and are always great to watch. However, if yellow ends up losing the vote to savior, he's still somewhat likely to be chosen as ACE's representative (considering how poor all the choices are from that team), but that means less chance for Reach to show up.
And yes, all the old-schoolers will end up losing to the new-schoolers, but jaedong or bisu will end up being the winners in the end so why not have some matches with the original gosus on the way to the finals?

Okay reach didn't do so hot (losing to tossgirl) and all the retired players were pretty bad but Boxer was still churning out entertaining games (which is what you want in an All-star event). I mean during the estars tournament, he had games with 4 rax, nukes, triples starports etc. If you got 18 All-star spots, why wouldn't you give one to Boxer just to see what kind of crazy stuff he'll come up with.

XellOs practically invented modern day TvT. He turned a poor team in the powerhouse we know as CJ today. He used his own money along with Coach Cho to fund the team when they had no sponsors.

He has a rape record over every major terran player (except Nada, whom Xellos calls his "Poison"). The guy owns at Bifrost and he made CJ. He purposely got a small Salary just so his fellow teammates can be paid more. When Coach Cho told Xellos to leave the team so Xellos can actually get a reasonable salary he said "No" and stayed with Coach Cho till CJ bought GO.
The guy has won WCG korea prelim twice and OSL once, he is an awesome player.

He's an extremely sloppy player who lacked any starpower whatsoever. I love nearly ALL of the oldschool players (even intotherainbow and chojja) but absolutely never liked Xellos. He was known as the perfect terran, but his play was very often sloppy, and he rarely ever did anything inventive or even entertaining.

He purposely got a small Salary just so his fellow teammates can be paid more. When Coach Cho told Xellos to leave the team so Xellos can actually get a reasonable salary he said "No" and stayed with Coach Cho till CJ bought GO.
The guy has won WCG korea prelim twice and OSL once, he is an awesome player.
edit: Anyone still have his OSL win speech when he is in tears and tells his mom and sister that he finally achieved something in his pathetic life? That speech was so so so sad D:

I have incredible personal respect for ALL progamers (even fbh, though he's a giant dick); the life they're leading is certainly a very difficult one and the feats they pull off daily, even the least accomplished of them, are short of superhuman (and generally with a level of humility that I find superhuman as well)- but you just can't use a player's personal life in these kinds of considerations.
The man kept GO alive singlehandedly. Who the hell knows if Savior would have ended up raping face had Xellos not kept the team afloat. CJ Entus wouldn't exist were it not for Xellos.
Plus, he's got to be good to win a Starleague and a WCG. Flukey players with no skill don't just win multiple golds outta nowhere. The man had the best TvT at one point in time, and played some solid SC back in his prime. He might not be good anymore, but then again Yellow and Boxer aren't that great anymore. But his name and legacy still carry on.
When you think of the terran legends, you think of Xellos, Boxer, Oov, Nada.
Give the legends some respect. They might suck now, but they're not considered legends for no reason. Yes, that goes for Yellow and the three lonely Protosses as well.

If it's current, Boxer, Nada, Savior, Yellow and Reach belong nowhere in the top 10, let alone the top 5 they are in. But like the Pro-bowl or all-star games in prof sports, the winners are just fan favorites (which is fine to an extent... just don't expect great games).

I sorta wish they would just do this like last year and recreate a lot of the most epic matchups from the past year (like they had JD vs flash on katrina, best vs luxury, KAL VS FORGG (although forgg got sick and lomo replaced him and just got raped), etc). with the new format (of people voting for players who barely even played last year) there wont be nearly as much room for awesome rematches.

Nada/Reach/Anytime is not more creative than Flash/Bisu/Sork. Futhermore they suck, it's paintful to watch they playing now. They are old school player, but they play new school way, of course they are very bad at it. You talk none sense.
Yeah Savior is playing so badly right now. He still put up decent performances in his MSL ZvT's but he's so sloppy and way way worse than he used to be. Very painful to see.

Honestly, Fantasy/Flash are not the best examples of very exciting styles of play, though. Your average starcraft fan, and D rank player, does not get their enjoyment from watching Flash play a perfect defense and move out with his upgrades with a near invulnerable army, or from watching Fantasy play mech TvZ in nearly the same fashion.
They enjoy watching Nada micro a control group of m&m to kill way more zerg units/buildings than he should of, and they enjoy watching Reach play super aggressive 2base using zealot bombs and storms. They enjoy watching Yellow do slow drops with lurkers, and Boxer locking things down or bunker rushing.
And honestly, I'm inclined to agree with them, even though I've enjoyed plenty of games showcasing Flash and Fantasy nearly as much.

I agree with you about excitement. The average fan can't see the deep moves so flashy stuff will be much more enjoyable to them. Though Fantasy is a pretty flashy player even though he plays complex strategies so it's half and half.

Flash and Fantasy/oov are very creative players, exciting or not.
Nada/Reach on the other hand are not. Their strength comes from execution, not amazing strategies or decisions. Anytime is creative to a certain degree but definitely not to the same level as Fantasy (yeah oov)/Flash. Nada ironically is the definition of a mechanical player, and Reach as well with more emphasis on micro and less on multitasking.
2008-9 is actually one of the most creative ages in SC history so it's rather goofy that many are somehow under this delusion that's all about mechanics.

Note that Fantasy has never used this build before. Now two weeks later he uses it 3 games in a row to beat Luxury and pretty much starts using it or some variation in the majority of his TvZs to this day.
Adding on, I want to say thanks to SKTelecom T1's iloveoOv playing coach, who continues to research and create new builds, increase the effectiveness of strategies, and showed that he can still win games, making Starcraft much more exciting to watch.-rA
Ganzi played the exact same mech fake strategy that oov/fantasy used. Pretty sure rA knows what he's talking about.
For the TvP build:
on 1-17 oov gets sent out against Ace and uses the 'iloveoov build' (fact cc acad port 2 facts cc) against Rage, Daezang, and Anytime.
Fantasy has never used this build before that set. It is now his mainstay TvP strategy and the one he became '#1 TvP' with.
Also important is that this strategy is the same overall concept that oov has used several times in the past with inventing new TvZ strategies, specifically:
-2 rax acad fe -8 rax bunker rush-> fe -the 'fantasy build'
All of these follow the idea of 'threaten danger while expanding instead' in one way or another, just like this TvP build does.
It wouldn't be an unreasonable inference that every time oov is sent out in proleague he's out there to test a build. All 3 of his appearances have featured unique strategies and two of them ended up being used extensively and to great success.
And to top it off oov is outside of these two builds the most proven innovator in SC history. Interview evidence clearly confirms that he created the original 'fantasy build' (the vulture drop -> valk mech) so it's not like he can't keep up with modern strategy.
Basically pretty much everything points to oov making them.

Jaedong will be picked as the Hwaseung representative. If yellow is picked for zerg than either Reach or Anytime will be picked for ACE. So would you rather see Jaedong Yellow and Reach/Anytime or Jaedong Hiya and Yellow/Reach/Anytime?
