Well he did have a legitimate chance to win all three.
He was in the finals of 2 and semis of one of them.

As did everyone else in progaming. Well, I guess they didn't really have the chance because they didn't make it far enough in all of the leagues. Oh wait, that means Jaedong did amazingly well.

Yeah, it was.

Thanks kona

I love jaedong's answer to the zerg era question.

I read it as "Please don't fuck me with the maps next season". Lol

Jaedong's Kespa rank points are going to be rediculous next month . Especially if he continues to do well in WCG.

I meant osl, msl, proleague
gom doesn't feel legitimate to me for some reason.

truthfully, I feel that Leta wouldn't have had much of a chance either. I mean it's Jaedong for crying out loud (despite all the cries of slump a few days ago).

- You won 3:0.
▲ In my pre-game interview, I said that if luck wasn't on my side, I would win 3:1, else I would win 3:0. The first set was the most important, but luck was on my side and my build gave me the upper hand. I was certain I would win 3:0 if I won the first set.

And they say Bisu was arrogant.
What i really like in JD is his kindness and humility. Seems like a golden mouse can change some things.
Didnt like this part of interview. The rest is very fine, he deserved the title for so much hard work.

He's not being arrogant in that at all. It's a well-known fact that he's the best ZvZ'er in the world (two months ago, he boasted an 80% ZvZ) and if he plays to his potential, there should be no reason to drop a game. Furthermore, this was a PRE-GAME interview, and yellow was listening. He has to say stuff like that. It wouldn't make sense to say something along the lines of "I think I will lose 3-0 unless I am lucky because my opponent is better than me."

Thanks for the translation kona!

Jaedong always says stuff like that, but he has the skills to back it up.

Noooooo. I worship JD but when you lose 0-3 in the most important series of the entire year then no. It doesn't matter how he lost. But I'm thinking specifically for his zvz match.... He could've prevented that ace match and gone to superace right there and then. Everyone at that point had finally contributed so JD could go to ace. I don't know if it would've mattered anyway, since I don't think JD would've been prepared for that 2 rax build in any case. Though, objectively speaking. Maybe a year from now, when he's won more titles and when he's shown an equally dominating season we'll look back and in retrospect praise JD for his run this season. Since he did make it to the semis in one league, carried his team to the PL finals and won his golden mouse with dominance. I mean... That's a pretty decent run right there.
The 2 rax build wouldn't have happened: different map, different player.

I'm definitely not saying Jaedong is definitively Bonjwa, but it just strikes me as odd that he's disqualified for doing poorly in proleague (or the grand finals atleast, otherwise he was a beast), whereas that never mattered to other Bonjwas. Savior wasn't that good in proleague, either.

I completely disagree. The notion of pecking order is very strong in that culture. Jaedong's juniors on the team know he's better than them. They know it all too well.

Being arrogant is tied closely to being good in something. Not necessary, but a bad player that says these kind of things is not arrogant, is crazy.

It doesnt matter the other player is listening.
Try to go to NBA finals or something like and say you are gonna rape your adversary 4-1 if you are unlucky, 4-0 if you are lucky.

Its overconfidence and lack of respect for your adversary, and no prospect of victories back up this kind of behavior.

Actions speak louder than words (ex. Bisu's groups) vs (JD's 2 groups of death). Bisu also berates others, while JD exalts himself.
"Hey, I have a great idea, let's go to a player's winning interview thread and call him arrogant, that'll go well"
