Few in the SC2 scene know this, but SteelSeries actually made a bid to replace Razer as the main gaming peripherals sponsor of team EG a few years back. In the link below you can find the 2008 team shirt:

In a few days, EG will be announcing the return of Razer as a sponsor of their team, along with the official announcement of the League of Legends team formerly known as CLG.EU joining Team Razer under the EG colors. This may or may not coincide with an announcement that CLG has won the Razer Team of the Year award for 2012.
Shortly thereafter, a campaign will be launched featuring Justin Wong and an EG-branded version of Razers [then] newly released fight stick: http://www.razerzone.com/bredtofight.
A new team shirt is released with an updated design, quite different from the previous one, this along with EG-branded Razer mice and mouse pads (which will follow later, along with a new Razer RTS mouse yet to be finalized, think abyssus with new sensor and more buttons).
RaidCall remains the head sponsor.
Posting this only for my own entertainment, in light of all the recent discussions on leaks. A lot of us, myself included, go "meh, that was obvious, i knew that" when a story breaks - well, let's see if i was right this time.

Something everyone could benefit from - OpSec. It's a fancy concept, originally from the military, but it can be applied to business information as well.
(I have the urge to hang up a consulting shingle now. I won't.)
Although I would think that EG heading back to Razer would be odd. But I also think of Razer like that girl at the bar. You know the one. She's not that pretty, but she can be fun to hang out with and is willing to buy you drinks as long as she gets to take you home every now and then. Which isn't a problem, but she's not really picky on who she buys drinks for, and you might have to wait your turn.
(Seriously, I like Razer for all the things they do for eSports. But they do seem to be sponsoring err'body.)

That part is speculation. The rest could be a leak.
