Might be doing more of these, all reliant on community feedback on my review!

Gameplay:

The gameplay is the thing that blizzard was mainly focused on in diablo 3 and they managed to create an awesome game mechanics system, that is really smooth and responsive and it is just a pleasure to press a key because it feels like each hit/spell has a real kick to it! Though it is lacking in some degree it is overall pretty good. Now, firstly it doesn't change when the game gets "harder" or you get longer into it, there are almost no added game mechanics as you get longer into the game, Its all about grinding for gear (we will get to that later in itemization)
Now I will talk about the boss battles, they were kind of almost all pretty linear in the fact it was just like killing a big creep with more health then all the other creeps. Though there were some that were fun in my opinion, like the butcher and belial were the ones I liked. Because with the butcher you had to "change" a bit of how you played and like dodge the fire plateaus that were lit every other second and quicky dash when he tries to run you down etc. But some of them were like right click, richt click, right click and so on....

Difficulty:

I really don't find a reason to mention it, due to this guy explains it to well, highly recommend you see this video if you haven't already done so.

+ Show Spoiler +

Storyline/storytelling:

The story in its own was really basic and linear, nothing special to see here, it seems as if you could say that they weren't focusing on the storyline, but such a big part of the game is around the story, endless cutscenes and dialog none of them makes you actually WANT to see them. By the time Deckard cain died I didn't really care... Had it happened in diablo 2 I would have freaked out... Similar to when Sirius Black died in harry potter the movie I didn't give a shit but when he died in the books, when I saw it in the books I was more emotional then a woman on her period.

Here the same guy mentions the storyline and talks about its flaws and defects.

Art design / soundtrack:

The art design along with the satisfaction and the responsiveness of the gameplay, is one of diablos biggest pros! Every time I go to a new area it feels like I was visiting japan/venice, the game is literally a sight to withhold. The character design looks amazing and every new spot you venture to seems so completely different and with a whole new atmosphere of the place you were a couple of minutes ago. There are so much variety in the environment that it really feels like you are venturing around a huge world, exploring and killing savage beasts! The game also just sounds amazing audio vise and lets just leave it at that.

Itemization

More fun watching then reading, so watch this video, I pretty much agree with everything that this guy says.

+ Show Spoiler +

Shitty useless additions to the game.

Blacksmith for instance, I leveled him up to like 15 and thats when I reallised my gear was crap and I had almost all the gear suitable for me, the auction house is really the way to go (selling strength items you don't need to buy dexternity items you need)
RMAH, was also a crappy addition to the game because itemization had been dumb'd down to such a degree that I have no need to want to spend money on it.
Simplified atributes, I really don't like how it works, as a demon hunter in inferno you just don't get lifesteal.... Like at all.... Or hp regen... You just stack up dex and maybe get some vitality, because it really is the best way to go. It just makes the game worse.

Graphics

They just look pretty good and "blizzardy". All I can say is that they game isn't really all to "bf3 or crysis graphicy" It pretty much shines through its art design and not necessarily through every attention to detail. It basically looks really cool and awesome cosmetically.

Overall:

I just want to say diablo three is a fantastic game and is also highly addicting, but it has some really clear flaws as I have mentioned that really stop this game from shining out to its full potential! Yet sometimes it manages to be so fun that it is difficult to even notice the flaws (not mentioning error 37!).

What pretty much fckd that game over was the decision making of blizzard, such as the new item system, completely boring and not worth spending real money on, releasing the game to early, if I could go back and tell blizzard to fix things such as, servers or actually finishing the multiplayer aspect of the game so people have the thirst to actually want to spend time farming for better gear etc.

It is a really good game but it did not live up to its standards.

Overall acceptable review, adding to the already oversaturated pool of reviews out there. Not bad, though I disagree with the point about simplified attributes. Life on hit is a core part of the current monk builds for those who actually finding success in inferno. Although dex/vit play a huge role, the other attributes are not negligible as you seem to imply.

Well wow thanks! :D

Well though you have to agree with some of it... My overall point was that the core stats almost always trump the other ones... Gloves that give 100 dex 60 vit for DH or 80 dex 40 vit and health globes grant 150 health.

I would also like to say that imo this review was actually better then some of the "pro" (lol) reviews... I mean those guys don't even understand shit...

This is just laughable... Barely any understanding at all... Its like getting a bronze leaguer to do a starcraft review for IGN...
I watched a lot of reviews to prepare for this one and none of them actually mentioned what I or that guy in the videos did... I really think they should delay the reviews for like a week and really get into it..

Diablo III follows Blizzard's new tradition of creating good games relative to what else is offered to us, but merely adequate relative to games they have created in the past. Cataclysm, Starcraft II, Diablo III - all very good games relative to the other MMOs, RTS', or hack-n-slashes you can pick up right now, but compared to Burning Crusade (even Wrath), SC1, and Diablo II, they are a disappointment. Same with Bioware.

Well sure, if you pick the most useless stat. But how about all resist? movement speed? attack speed? life on hit as mentioned previously. % life. MAGIC FIND. Crit chance/damage. and I could go on and on. Dex/Vit is obviously extremely good as well, I'm not trying to deny that, but there are many other attributes which are equally important. Can you build pure dex/vit? Sure. But there are many other viable possibilities as well, and it is negligent to deem them negligible.

I disagree with the starcraft 2 part... I don't think it is worse then SC1, it is just different... More player friendly so anyone can find it fun... Only the old sc1 veterans say that, that sc1 is better... That is understandable because a totally different game can be hard to "digest" after ramming the other game for years...

You could argue that sc1 is better then sc2, and all that stuff, but its by far a disappointment...

And I think diablo 2 have its part where its better then diablo 3, but imo diablo 3 is way more fun then diablo 2... Just because you played diablo when you where 10 or something, I don't know how old but, just because you were so bedazzled when it came out like 12 years ago, when the graphics were awesome and it was such a good game now doesn't mean its better now...

Certainly diablo 2 is a better game if you take in how a long time ago it was made. But if you take the two products and put them next to each other now, I think diablo 3 is so much, much better imo...

Inferno difficulty is quite infuriating indeed. Customer service is terrible. Communication between players and developers are virtually non-existent. "Scheduled maintenance" is announced 5 minutes prior.

On the bright side, it's fun watching my noob friends learning how to "kite" mobs for the first time then failing horribly by running into those exploding plants in A2.

I agree with a lot of what you and the video said. However a few of the problems you mention are due to playing on the "softcore" servers. Issues with just dex stacking for example, are not even a problem on hardcore. People NEED vitality, resistances, and abilities such as lifesteal.

Additionally, crafting such as blacksmithing is almost a requirement in hardcore in attempt to help bridge the Hell->Inferno gear gaps. The only real problem is that its so damn expensive due to a bottleneck of hell level crafting materials.

I've been playing strictly on the hardcore servers since about 2 days after release because I found softcore relatively "easy" and one dimensional. I now have 3 dead level 60s from Inferno Act 1 (Wizard/Monk/DH) and have little motivation to play. Farming act 1 treasure goblins for 200 hours in an attempt to roll enough resistance gear to not get 1shot by a blue/yellow pack isn't really fun.
