Over the past eight years I've come to regard teamliquid.net as a second home. Six weeks ago, after Trozz released his epic TL Magic Set, I decided to do a similar project for this post. Other than Starcraft, my two favorite games of all time are probably Diablo 2 and Magic: the Gathering. Coupling them together was an immense task, but I had a lot of fun and got to be very creative. The following is a full playable set of 247 cards, where each color is represented almost equally.
Most of the pictures I used are in-game screenshots, but there are a few that are fan art. I tried to remember to include illustrators but some of the cards with fan art don't have them, hopefully those people don't mind!

Very impressive Haven't played Magic for such a long time, really want to play it again now.
But why are all the 'cool' creatures multicolored (even 3 colored). Makes it hard to implement them.

There's lots of multicolour lands to counterbalance that, I think.

Updated, fixed the spelling errors, added green (no idea how I left that out!)
Thanks for the inputs guys.
As for how long it took, probably 6-8 hours to come up with the cards, 2 hours to balance the colors, and 12 to get all the pictures.

but i dont agree with some cards on some colors i.e. Bartuc should be red and has ability to deal dmg to each creature or something like that.

holy shit thats a lot of cards! really impressive! a lot of the cards here perfectly fit what they should do according to d2.... really cool :D :D
as someone who plays a lot of d2, there are a few things that i want to say that i disagree with: t ie bartuc is white? i think red would be most fitting for him considering a3 wave loves hydras... plus white is supposed to imply they are "good" instead of "evil" and bartuc is most definitely the latter lol. and achmel is undead... so he should be black imo.
and hammer doing 2 damage to demons only? while bone spear does 5? i think it would be better to make bone spear do less damage with more specific targetting ability while hammer does lower damage but can hit multiple creatures of a type or something. charge should definitely add damage to the creature as it is such a powerful damage attack in the game, though i fully agree with the fs/vigiliance effects.
and the bone fetish should have some kind of penalty to the opponent when it dies.... exploding dolls have to be some of the most dangerous shit in the pvm world in d2, and i know this too well from playing hc.

I love this so much, this is fucking fantastic. I think battle cry is too powerful though. A few other things maybe need some 'balance patching'. But otherwise it is a great great set and I will probably print it off and play with a mate!
