I'm Wolfie and I'm trying to get over my ladder fright. So here's one of the games I played, for you guys. Read the first blog post for info on what I'm doing here.

Another win. I hope I'll lose soon, so I'll get to test my rage-analysis skills.
What Happened?
From my 1st person perspective, the game was very perplexing: My first priority was to make sure that he didn't 4-gate, which he didn't. This allowed me to go for a 2-gate robo, after which I decided to do a poke with three stalkers, a zealot and a sentry, being ready to turn back if I saw any kind of formidable resistance. On the way to my opponent's base, i killed a scouting zealot, after which my opponent immediately quit.
Rewatching the game from the replay revealed the truth, however: He was trying to go for a fast stargate play, with the stargate just finishing as I killed the zealot. He wouldn't had a chance, having only one gateway, one defending stalker and no warpgate tech researched.
Bummer the game had to be so short.
What Were My Greatest and Worst Things In the Game?
Any highlights would be hard to point out, since the game was so short. The one thing I might point out right now was my omission to open the warpgates before I pushed.
What Could've Made Things Go The Other Way?
The single decisive thing that won me the game here was the poke. I've noticed that an early poke is very important, since not putting any kind of pressure early on will give the opponent the chance to get away with pretty much anything. I'm happy that I remembered to do that this game.
On the other hand, my opponent should've definitely gone Forge first. That would have got me on my toes and definitely screwed up my play, since I'd be hunting for cannons. Placing defensive cannons would've enabled him to shoo me away and get his early void rays out. He also had only 24 probes, with his expansion on its way, so his economy was not the best.
