Hey guys,

There have been a lot of blogs recently introducing TLers bands. Here's mine. We're called CLED Error and we play electronic music. Our other songs have vocals but this one doesn't.

SirJolt is in the band he also made the video.

Oh dear, I hadn't realised how utterly unflattering a "video" I'd assembled :/

Very good!

Did you just track it through a editing program? The low end seems a little thin, which tends to happen with purely digital recordings. I'd look into a reel to reel player.

Other than that, it was excellent. I the break used wasn't to overpowering for the tone of the song, and didn't contrast the piano in any bad way.

The whole thing was done in Reason 4 (by Atom and our ginger-headed band member). I totally feel you on the low end being thin, it's really excellent to get constructive criticism

I also think the YouTube upload might strip some of the sound for compression, but not so much that's very noticeable.

Oh yea, youtube compression isn't that good.

Reason is powerful, but every studio in the world as some way of adding that low end back, since that is a symptom of using computers for tracking. Most have a .5 to 1 inch reel to reel that they run the tracks through, then right into the burner, which adds back the warmth and punch.

Not very much for the moment, sadly. We did some kind of too-silly electronic stuff before, but I think this is one of the first songs we're actually happy with.

There'll be more stuff without vocals as we go though

Just trying to get everything going for the moment
