this was more of a comedy in my opinion. If you're going to watch a horror film that was remade by hollywood, watch the original. They're all much much better!

i watched Stanley Kubrick's Lolita recently, it's a brilliant movie even though it is unfaithful to the book. Although the movie deals with pedophilia, it touches the subject softly, combining both old fashioned Marx brothers humor with classic kubrick dark humor, which was way ahead of its time. (see Dr strangelove) It truly is a great drama movie with a great performance from the distinctive actor Peter Sellars. i would put this in the top 3 kubrick films, after both strangelove and clockwork orange.
