Since it's for your girlfriend and you, and I'm assuming you aren't heavy drinkers, I would recommend just going with coolers. You know, 7% alcohol wine coolers or vodka coolers or whatever. Or just some other fruity drink like Manifesto said. If you wanna step it up a bit, try "Sour Puss". It's stronger than coolers and stuff, and it doesn't taste as bad as stuff like 40% alcohol vodka etc etc. It's sour though, and pretty sugary. It's not for everybody, but for a guy with a weak stomach like me, I definitely prefer it over vodka or whiskey or anything like that. I'm not even sure if they have it in the US (I live in Canada), but they probably do. | ||

on a side note my paretns recently told me that they heard people are doing 21 shots on their 21st so they told me that they'll get me a bottle of dom perignon as long as i dont do that ^_^ | ||

I'm a fan of whiskey but it's not really a starter's drink. You could try mixing a cheap(er) whiskey with a cola and see if you like it. | ||
